What are YOU ready to stop apologizing for?

I'm ready to stop pushing myself beyond my limits at my job. My body hurts from fatigue because the demands are unreasonable. I need to stop this. I want to. Not sure yet how I can do this so first thing: looking on how to :). It's not a want even, it's a must because the physical pain is too much and gets in the way of things. Thank you for this video. I will rewatch it for sure

Thank you, Julia! I often feel alone in my family because of not apologizing for being myself. Do you remember the movie, "I Heart Huckabee's"? Toward the end of the movie, a question is posited asking, "When am I not myself?", to which I answered, "I'm not myself when I act and be what I think everyone wants me to be." Everyone else said, "no, you're always being yourself.", which included my wife and grown children. So in that lies my aloneness. I'm actually quite happy being "outside the box" to my family. I have a few close friends I keep in a clandestine way with whom I feel safe and they also share a mutual haven. Thank you again for your words of encouragement.

I have to be honest a lot of these coaching and help videos are very repetitive and have pretty substantial redundancies. JKC's videos are great but she is so emphatic about how she makes a point it only needs to be made once; but for some reason she is given to saying the same thing four, five six , seven , eight … +++ times in a video. Personally I think she is an effective communicator that LESS (repetition) would definitely be MORE. Clear, concise and short would perhaps take her where she wants go ? Maybe ? Worth a try ? (No padding required). A lot of other youtube self help videos are way worse in terms of "Compactness".

As someone who is an introvert, HSP, student, small business owner, dog mom, partner, friend, and daughter, I really needed this video right about now. I have a few friends who don’t understand why I can’t hangout when ever they want me to even though I’ve communicated this to them. I’m sticking to my guns though and I’m dedicated to taking care of myself.

I'm ready to stop apologizing for not being able to commit to after work get togethers at the local drinking establishments around town. I'm not interested in a bunch of drinking and socializing after work anymore and am tired of feeling guilty for not going along with them. All I have to do is say "no thank you" and leave it at that. No drawn out excuses needed anymore. I need to get over the fear of people being dissapointed with me. Great video! Thank YOU!!!

Such a great video, I too am an introvert and people just can't seem to understand that I'm not a social butterfly. They get angry and take it personally when I tell them no, I don't want to do a certain activity with them. I've actually lost some friends over this. Thanks for the video and I'm going to continue to be true to who I am despite what others perceive or think about it, I can't control their thoughts and feelings only mine.

Rsn When you recognize that the over celebrated extrovert is most often a parasitic energy vampire that sucks the life force from those around them, who also sulks when you stop giving them the constant attention they demand, it's a lot easier to enforce your boundaries and say no to the blood draw. When you realize that they are insecure 90% of their life without an audience , and pleading look at me, dig me, listen to me, while you are secure 90% of your life either alone or with an intimate few of substance, they are jealous. You are the one secure and normal and the integrated individual, would you want to be any other way.

I learned a long time ago that you should use the word "sorry" word or use apologies very sparingly, if you need an alternative word to say use "thank you" instead, its still positive but also assertive, more acknowledging and better at closing a figure of speech. However try telling that your spouse when you have done something wrong ;)

I apologized for being abused for 6 years. Isolated in my own home. I told my family and a few friends I was sorry if I hurt them because of my trauma. Guess who responded....NOONE..I've been on my recovery journey with absolutely no support from people I thought who loved me for almost 3 years. My father passed away during all if this on top of it. I was so angry and hurt and felt like a total idiot. I almost lost my life that is terrifying to go through alone. Now my mindset is. I'm taking care of me. I've been doing it alone for so long it eventually literally stopped bothering me. I am an HSP but I'm no doormat anymore. People can go. The lesson I learned from it all is to validate myself let them go with love and to keep your expectations low. Don't expect anything from others. And certainly NEVER apologize for being abused!

YES! I used to do this when I was young. Although I still use make-up, I have learned how wrong that was. For one, there is absolutely NO reason to apologize. Most don't notice, most don't care and if they do, why do we care what they think? Who are they that it matters that much to even call attention to the fact that we aren't wearing make up? Would we hold them to the same standard? Why? Why not? It doesn't matter either way. It's not the end of the world. It's just make up. It's just aesthetics. No one cares.

I need to stop apologizing. I feel a lot of intense emotions from a trauma that happened years ago, and it's painted my outlook on things. I was a people pleaser. Now I say no whenever I want, I am not their pupet. I am not going to apologizing for not available for them all the time. Every person except my parents and siblings ,they took advantage of me. But I learnd how to say no, Now I love my self more.😘

Hello Julia Kristina! For the past week your videos have been helping me a lot with break up issues and self esteem, and I want to thank you so much for these videos that are helping me and other people deal with the crap on our lives. I also want to request you another one: could you talk about what to do with social media and if I should block or delete or simply just not care about my ex following me and liking my posts? It would be greatly appreciated.

It’s never too late to start something Positive. I no longer apologize for who I am today. It took longer then I excepted or hoped yet Here I Am, As I Am! 🤗. Take care of yourselves!🤗🌱
