Today I am sharing 3 tips for Homeschooling your 3rd graders and I hope it will help you. Even if your kiddos are not in 3rd grade yet be sure to check this out so you can have some ideas of whats to come.

I didn’t realize that third grade was such a transition. But it really is!!

Yeah isn't it crazy. I think most people don't think of it being that big of a deal and for some it is not but for others it can be huge.

Life in the Mundane yeah! In Florida they actually cannot pass third grade if they pass the State test. I try though to gradually increase difficulty.

3rd grade is such a step from 2nd! You wouldn't think it is, but there's a noticeable change. These are all such great tips!!

Thank you for sharing! While my kiddos are a couple years away from 3rd this is a great video to hear 😊 I remember being very aware of a speech delay I had thru 3rd grade and I had a friend who complimented me on it at that age and it changed my perspective, it just took that one friend 😊 Very thankful for that 3rd grade friend.

That’s awesome. I figure we (as parents) can’t shelter our kids from the cruel kids in this world but we can make sure to train them up to be that one amazing friend who made such a difference for you!!! Thanks for watching and sharing.

We definitely had some hiccups in third grade. Curriculum got harder and really took a blow to his confidence. By the grace of God, we figured it out. Great tips, thanks for joining!

This is a great video Katie! 3rd grade was always a huge transition in public school too, just moving into much more independence and more complex concepts.

My son was in fifth grade in public school but when I had him tested to see what he needed to learn when I took him out he tested at the end of second grade so we are redoing third grade this year so he can learn one on one and master his skills. My son is also on the spectrum, public school was not a good experience for him and they often just didn't teach him and gave him a calculator instead of teaching have him eat alone or sectioning him off. He is so much happier home but we do need to work on the socializing thing but that doesn't really have to do with homeschool more to do with our local community do this this time we are living in. I like brainsy for learning games and he does Easy Peasy for Math and English that is a great online program he can do alone or ask for help with. We do project learning with history and science though he does amazing with hands on learning

We live in England so I had to Google what age 3rd grade is lol but I completely agree with you about keeping the fun where possible as kids transition to different stages in learning x I hear you about friendships changing its quite sad when the 'everybody is your friend' stage ends because wouldn't it be a nicer world if that stage never ended? X

I agree completely it would be so nice if that phase would last forever.
