This week we compare 3 different shower tents. Don't make the same mistake we did, get the right tent for you first time. Each tent has pros and cons, its about choosing the one that best suits your style of camping.
The pop up tents can be a little tricky if no one has ever shown you the trick. the one we used in the video i had never set up before and it was my first time packing up on camera.
Not sponsored to do video, just some of the things I've noticed about the different tents

I have the Joolca dual room shower tent. Set up time would be the same as the single room one. Advantages include having a separate dry room where you may get undressed and dressed after your shower, but still in privacy and out of the wind. You may also put a porta potti or similar in the dry room if you wish, there is plenty of room. It does have an additional fly, which you don't need to use. Having two rooms means that you could have someone in the shower in privacy and still use the second room for a toilet if you need to. I have not had issues drying it. I do make the effort to look for a spot where I can try to make the wet room have the floor highest in the middle so the water drains away. Another advantage is that there are real barriers to vermin getting into your shower tent.

Thank-you. I agree that this looks to be the best option *if* the campground allows it!

We had a pop up shower tent. Evil to pack away , invented by a divorce lawyer. Great review BTW definitely going for the joolca.

Glad it helped. You just don't know sometimes until you try a certain type and if it doesn't work for you there is no getting your money back. So hopefully we can help show things you can't read on the side of the box.

Thanks for the very informative review, I've already got the Ironman 2.5 awning, which is superb & easy to put up, so will definitely get their ensuite for overland touring with our Hybrid van. I reckon the wife will appreciate it on day trips also where there's no toilets; with something quick and easy to setup - cheers

I have the Quick Pitch shower tent awning. Drifta make a canvas roof for it, to resolve rain issues when required. I installed the awning tent with RacksBraxs brackets. This means I can clip the awning tent on and off the vehicle in seconds. If I arrive home and the awning tent is wet, I clip it off the vehicle and clip it back onto a second set of brackets under the roof of my deck. Open it up and let it dry. Using the racksbrax brackets also allows me to setup the awning tent as a stand alone shower tent. Without going into detail, it basically requires a couple of aluminium poles, ropes and pegs. The only negative with my system is the cost. The Quick Pitch is made in South Africa and the Racksbrax, supa peg poles and canvas roof are made in Australia. Hence this all comes at a high price. However I was happy to pay the extra for the higher quality and especially to avoid purchasing from China thanks to the CCP.

The Joolca is a great pottie tent. I love that I can set it up away from the camp location and put the porta-potty inside. I also love that there are much less bugs inside than in the more open kind.

I bought a van with the awning style tent already installed. I'm 5'8" but found it difficult to roll it back up. It was too heavy and the tether straps were difficult to fasten while holding the roll. Mine is by Kick-Ass Gear.

I like how you demonstrated in the wind and with only one person. Much appreciated as I solo camp usually. Thanks for going over the options as I’m just now contemplating a shower setup for boondocking. They have a two room shower tent….have you tried one of those? Shower on one side, either dressing room or toilet/sink on other. Great video.

Yes, have tried both the pop up and joolca doubles. Both are fantastic adding a dry place to get dressed and privately. The pop up takes a little extra time but the joolca is probably the same time.

the jolca looks like the lightspeed shower I purchased, same frame design and everything, I have seen a few rebranded like this, seems to be good, I never used it, I bought 2 of them one for shower one for bathroom, set them up seam sealed them both and now they lay in storage.Edit: I don't think you need to seam seal them, But I do this with all my gear, check them out seam seal them and use a silicone spray on them as well, ready to go.

AdventureRidge popup is one of the few Aldi products we don't like. Like OzTrail, the supports are too weak. Generally we prefer popups but not those brands. For the Ironman style drill holes in the ends of the arms and use two tent poles for more stability. Outdoor equipped bermuda is the best popup we have ever had and we have had heaps.

4 years ago when i was at the outback on motorcycle adventure, 4 female bikers including myself had forgotten about the sand pegs. Among the 4, 3 of us are retired female soldiers. So we decided to use weight instead to pin down the tentage from being blown away by scooping sand and earth into trash bag and tied it up. But of course we put back the sand and earth before moving off the next day after 1 night of camping. 😁😅
