This Yoga Nidra Grounding Relaxation Full Body Scan is like a massage for the central nervous system. You can find more free full length yoga nidras here: freeyoganidra.ca
In this 30 Minute Yoga Nidra, Ally Boothroyd will guide you through a relaxation and visualization for the element of earth (prithvi), the muladhara (root/base chakra), and vata dosha elevation (wind/air element elevation). A gentle forest visualization will calm, ground and balance vata, sooth anxiety, nourish the anna maya kosha (physical body) and invigorate muladhara chakra.
Yoga Nidra is a form of meditation that helps with insomnia, anxiety, stress, adrenal fatigue, ptsd and so much more. This scan takes you through the whole body, systematically relaxing every part of your being.
Yoga Nidra translates as psychic sleep and is a systematic method of inducing physical, mental and emotional relaxation, while maintaining awareness at deeper levels.
Close your eyes and allow yourself to be guided into deep relaxation.
As described by sparklingyoga: Yoga Nidra means Yogic Sleep, a state of deep sleep while you remain conscious. It brings an amazing clarity of mind, calmness and stillness. It is one of the deepest forms of meditation leading to supreme quietness and insight. The depth of Yoga Nidra is far beyond just relaxation. During a Yoga Nidra session, you leave your waking state, go through the dreaming state and into deep sleep state, yet remain fully awake.
Scientific research has demonstrated that restorative power of just one hour of Yoga Nidra is equal to 4 hours of healthy sleep. Tension and anxiety melt away with a profound experience of muscular, mental and emotional relaxation. Yoga Nidra is a state of receptivity and creativity, blissfully rejuvenating and restorative practice that will guide you into inner calm and a state of ease and relaxation.

Love this. Done this so many times over the last few weeks… it is amazing and so beautiful… Had an interesting experience on Sunday. I was doing this practice with my mask and noise cancelling headphones on. My partner came in half way through to check on me and I saw her enter the room look at me and leave…. Totally awestruck… despite being “blind” and “deaf” I actually saw her come in and leave…. It was amazing.

#Namaste Ally.Janeyb here Module 2. So beautifully relaxing, just what I needed this morning. My body and mind need Love, Rest, Peace and Healing. I did this meditation during acupuncture this week. When my consciousness rotated over the areas with needles, I could sometimes feel the point being retriggered. I think this was a nice compliment to acupuncture allowing me to unwind more deeply.

Namaste. You are quite gifted at narrating these practices. I am from Sacramento, CA. Yoga Nidra is something I happened upon during my meditation journey. Starting with five minute guided meditations then progressively seeking ones that were longer in duration. When searching for meditations around 40 minutes in length, I saw some for Yoga Nidra. After trying it, I loved how I felt afterwards. Further searching for the best experience I could find, I happened across your channel. Thank you for sharing your gift.
