Russia has been meddling in Ukraine’s politics for years. The propaganda machine has obviously been working overtime to the point where you see these ordinary people being oblivious to what’s going on outside of their country. The EU and North America amongst other developed regions are slowly closing that door on Russia. It’s current administration’s belligerence and dishonesty have sealed it’s fate. It’s targeted victim, Ukraine, will hopefully soon be accepted into the EU, despite some “so called” members’ wishes. Perhaps a shake up of current members’ status is in order?

Yeah, she seems to have good moral views, but her political views are... not to say they're "wrong", but rather delusional. And often times I can understand them, I know that they feel the same way we feel about people "on our side". Russia is the most obscure country in the world, in my opinion. People there seem to have always been treated as slaves. And that's what kept Russia from breaking up into small pieces. I don't believe that they're 'slaves' genetically and they will always be... but there has to be some kind of expalnation of how, during the same period of history Germany couldn't unite into one single country, Russia at the same time was the biggest country in the world with hundreads of different nationalities being kept and treated the same. It was an authoritarian state from the very beginning. Which makes me sad. Greetings from Ukraine!

Russia has completely leveled & destroyed entire cities and has laid millions of landmines that will take decades to clear. If Russia manages to hold on to this territory there is little they will be able to do with it, between attacks from partisans and the asymmetrical warfare & insurgency that will develop making it extremely costly to hold in men & materials. In a few years time they will withdraw unwilling to pay the price for keeping it and these hundreds of thousands of dead Russians will all have been in vain and only to sooth an old man’s ego.

It's all gone so wrong in Ukraine for Putin. He relies on his armed forces to keep him in power - as most dictators do - and the reality is that his armed forces are being whittled away.....He just did not anticipate this much resistance, or Ukraine's support from the West..... He thought it would be just like it always was, with him sending the tanks in en masse, and the enemy crap themselves and immediately throw the towel in. Afraid not Vlad, this is the 21st century, and the rules have changed since the Cold War....
