When you have a trip like that you can only laugh, otherwise you would burst into tears. Safe home that’s the main thing.

That was great! Those snow topped mountains.....and what a spot to camp! Great use of the hoverair as well Andy. Great to watch, I trust you enjoyed it as much as I enjoyed watching it (except for, er, longer).

There's something about how cosy this tent looks with a light against the inner yellow fabric.

I did a similar trip a week past Saturday. Drove through Rannoch. Cycled up towards Carn Dearg, made camp in the snow at around 400m. Had a new untested Rab sleeping bag, said it was good to -5. Well it got down to around -5, the sleeping bag was so thin, had all my clothes and a down jacket on, was absolutely frozen. Woke up the next day, ma water and energy drinks frozen 🙁. I had my North Face Assault 2 tent, it was brilliant. My drams were okay though 😁

@@AndrewParkOutdoors the latest one Andy, the Assault 2 Summit Series. I love that tent, easy to put up, quick and just a brilliant design. I climbed Carn Dearg the next day, which was disaster 2, went up the south side and walked the complete ridge, basically up and down hundreds of feet, five times till I reached the summit, but was in knee deep, sometimes waist deep in snow drifts 😟 Was meant to bag Sgòr Gaibhre, but was burnt out, so walked down to the ruins of Corrour (got some braa photos) on the way home I stopped at the chipper in Dunkeld, nae fish left, nae smoked sausage suppers ☹️☹️

What a superb pitch and well done on using the stones as pegs. Very cosy looking with your wee fire. Beautiful views both day and night.... really enjoyed the video. Best wishes.

Hi Andrew. Nice wee short video. Just goes to show that even the most experienced of us can overlook things. Never mind the pegs, you could always have used the whiskey to make a fire😢

Necessity is the mother of invention Andrew. Glad to see you stuck to the old Winston Churchill advice on never giving up.......at least you didn't forger the boo...........oh, wait! Ah......I see. Good vid as ever mate. ATB. P.S. trying for White Coomb camp tomorrow. Ill treat this as a salutary tale.

Ha! I’ve done the very same thing once.hiked 10 miles had forgot my tent pegs, had to hike back 10 miles to the car.then another 10 miles back to my rucksack & tent.stopped for a waz and an old bloke appeared out the woods.all he had on was a pair of running shorts mad grey hair and tanned skin like a brown leather jacket.lucky it was just a waz and no a dump.we both laughed saying just like the thing stop for a waz in the middle of nowhere and a coach load of Japanese tourists turn up.then another 10 mile hike back to the car a couple of days later Phew! 😂.👍

Flipping heck Andrew. No tent pegs...that's bad, but okay, nicely improvised. No winter gear...urghhh, real pain, but again nicely improvised. The point at which it turned into a horror show was not having any booze. 😩 I'd have packed up and gone home in a huff! You're a better man that I sir. 😆 Gorgeous little spot though mate. I'm looking forward to getting up to Scotland for my second attempt at the West Highland Way in April.
