In this video, Steven, ever the highly-skilled and patient craftsman and artist, captures portions of each step in finishing this beautiful Small Block Ford to maximize mechanical, air-flow, and air-fuel mixture efficiency. The result speaks for itself, a brilliant sum of parts and attention to detail. This engine produced, as shared in the previous video, 512 HP and 445 LBS FT. We are so pleased with this 347 cu.in. SBF!

Oh noooooo....there you go again!!! My younger Blue Oval friends are kind of like the younger LS crowd. They say it it's not a Coyote engine...it ain't worth building. Life can be confusing enough, without you upsetting the Blue Oval Apple cart with ALTERNATE TRUTHS. How do you expect them to focus, when you show them another way. Why can't you just lie to them, like everybody else does.....who's it going to hurt? They say the truth will set you free. But they don't want free, they want to run with the whiz bang LS crowd. Keep up the good work!

Nice numbers but not quite as impressive as your short stroke, long rod, big bore builds or is it because it's a Ford? LOL You might want to try a cam with a tighter LSA next time, David Vizard claims an overly wide LSA can rob as much as 80 HP. He has a formula for figuring out which LSA to chose in one of his yt videos if you're interested?

Thank you for commenting! With these Ford blocks, there isn’t any more room for a longer rod than this, unlike the Chevys. The deck height is only 8.2” whereas the SBC is just over 9”. On these smaller displacement builds, tighter lobe separation isn’t great in my opinion. The vacuum is affected and idle quality suffers if too tight. 110 to 112 would give more gains up top but there’s always a trade off. This is a street car build and drivability was a key ingredient :)

@@ceperformance No offense to you but do you know who David Vizard is? Here is his video on LSA; kzfaq.info/get/bejne/btCmnseCyNetpXU.html He says in the video to change the 128 to 127 in the formula for a small block Ford. He has an engineering degree and has been building and dyno testing race winning engines for 60 years. He has written very popular books on head porting and engine building and countless magazine articles. I'm surprised you have never heard of him?

@@ceperformanceEver do a Clevor build? Love to see a comparison of aluminum aftermarket head comparison to some AFR's or Trickflows. Also, there is a company using the late model Hemi head also. Love to see these comparisons. Thanks for the content.
