They made everyone else look extremely clunky, awkward and slow. They still do when you compare them to today’s skaters. I think since then, only Berezhnaya and Sikharulidze came close to their speed and technique, but they lacked the connection and that magic. We’ll never see their like again. Tracy Wilson said it best. They really were the best of the best.

The way they look at each other at the start is both beautiful and heartbreaking. R.I.P. Sergei you will always be remembered.

I cry when I watch this performance. The love that these two had for each other is a love that all want to find someday. Perfection. Most beautiful ice skating performance ever done.

The look between them in the beginning is breathtaking...melts my heart.

Breathtaking...the world lost the meaning of "champion pairs skaters" when we lost Sergei. Never have two skaters been more in unison than these two and their skating was the epitome of artistry. I miss them. :(

She always had a smile on her face like she was saying to everyone I know who I have and he makes me so happy--now we get to show you just how truly happy we make each other. For me personally, this is the greatest performance in the history of pairs figure skating. The music, choreography, and overall performance is mesmerizing. It's like they cast a spell on me every time I watch this particular performance.

i have never watched a pair that you can feel how in love they are when they skate . my god sergei was so special .the way he looks at her at the beginning so melting . any woman will die to be with him . his death is a heartbreaking .
