We installed 3M Water filter in our apartment, it doesnt seem to be effective at all. All members are complaining of white stains on taps, tiles and mirrors.

It is not clear if the water in the second beaker was heated to the same temperature. It doesn't seem as boiling as the one which got scale

Hi Azham, Both the beakers have been heated using the same heating element and to the same temperature. The difference in the visible results is due to the quality of water.

It does not work at all. Scaling and everything is still there. I live in an apartment where i installed this for the kitchen line, when i tested water with the softner its TDS worst than the one that does not have a softner. Not sure of the reason.

Sir as it doesn't remove any calcium from water. It gives coating to that calcium so scaling would be there but at lower scale.

Infact tds should technically increase due to addition of media.

@Nisha Sharma go for Resin water softener for your bathroom. It will reduce hardness from water and you will get soft water and soft hair. Reat of all water softener are useless... Just go for Reain base water soft. I am using it. Visible result which we can check live.

You are dissolving more of your so called salt in one cup of water. In actual reality with 37.8 lpm that you are claiming will this much of your salt get to react with the entire water?

it doesn't work..using it for more than 1 year but scaling on taps was always there. sales agent kept on saying that it is still working. not worth it. don't buy

Hi Sir, The product removes scaling caused due to salt deposits on taps and fixtures. This scaling is usually permanent and difficult to remove. Water marks on the other hand are temporary, easily removed by wiping and are not a result of hardness. Since they look alike, they are easily mistaken for one another. Please provide us with your contact details so that we can double check the situation at your place and provide you with a better solution.

u think people are fools u had not boiled that water in which 3m media was used. video clearly shows that another water was boiling and that water in which media of 3m was used was not boiling.

This is not a water softener by the way. This is water conditioner. Water conditioner just conditions the water but water softener actually removes hardness causing salts. What do you say 3M? Come out and say publicly that it is indeed a water softener. You can't! Can you? Your guy said "scale inhibition media" :) .... saying it is a water softener is a marketing gimmick!

3M has over a lakh of patents. We conducted an experiment with the 3M media at home using small steel containers and the ones using the 3M media didn't show scaling ... so 3M definitely works.
