Why would he want to escape it? Most of y’all in the comment section couldn’t even make Daigo sweat, let alone push him to the absolute limit. There’s no “shame” in losing to anyone at this level, let alone Daigo. And if you are going to be rembered for a loss, It may well be moment 37. Then again this man will be remebered for what he accomplished. That and his cyclops comeback. He shouldn’t want to escape it at all my dude.

SF 6 fells force to me, Third strike is so fluid. SF 6 is a good game that people will forget it with the years but SF3 third strike is a iconic imo.

Combo Breaker usually runs 3rd Strike on superguns with USB adapters. Since Rick runs both CB and Evo, it's possible he will get those same or very similar setups for Evo.

Speaking from being in JP right now, They still have those USB compatible Cabinets. 3rd strike tourneys are often. Wouldnt be surprised if they ship a bunch overseas just for the event. You also gotta realize, they had SFV cabinets, and not a bit ago, they released SF6 cabinets too. Those are also USB compatible. I plug in a PS5 controller cause thats what Im used to, but its fun as heck. That Game Card ranking subcommunity is alive and well. Im competing at Evo Japan this year, so I guess Ill check it out in person, since theyre also doing 3rd Strike at Evo Japan this year. im hype af.

EVO last year was so well organized, people were friendly, everything went smoothly and professionally. My only complaint was the lines for everything, most people overstayed their welcomes at demos, give people 30 min for their first of 3 and get the line moving. Hopefully they consolidate the lines and have more machines. I also would like a food stand of some kind? Leaving in and out of the con to eat was a hassle, basically once I enter I don’t want to leave until I have to lol. This year’s EVO is definitely going to be something special, I don’t know how they manage to top it year after year but they do. Get your tickets

I called every single game, just seeing the Evo Japan lineup I knew it was gonna be a 1:1 and then include MK1. And it's kind of fitting for 3rd Strike to be the Throwback this time around, because besides being 20 years since THAT moment, it will also be 25 years since it's original release.

34:26 The cabs that you speak of is the Taito Vewlix F, L, & Diamond Blue series. However, the Vewlix Diamond Black, & Diamond Orange were the only ones with USB input specifically for SFV hardware. The re-releases of ST, 3rd Strike, Zero 3, & Vampire Savior during that time still had input delay. Not as bad as the collections or ports released for console past and present, but was still noticeable. These games were re-released on the Taito Type X2 Arcade Board.

It was my first evo last year and I met so many longtime online friends for the first time and content creators! Also did my very first Cammy cos 😂 Goes without saying a con based on fighting games is the coolest shit ever, come if you can. Having it be in July rather than August is really helpful too before classes resume. Def a good summer memory to have 😚

Definitely in the future. I think they want to avoid repeat franchises in a row if they can help it. So MvC and SF is 'done' for now. The popular ones left is MK, Tekken, KoF/Garou and maybe Smash Bros. Its only a matter of time.
