Amen! We're all fallen all the time and dumb some of the time. Thank you for the info on grounds. I'm going to check a mower of mine for a loose ground as it's intermittently firing funny out of the exhaust. Too inconsistent for other stuff I already tried (carb rebuilt, new fuel, new spark plug, new air filter, ignition coil realognment)....

I know everybody has there method of troubleshooting a problem especially electrical but i find that the easiest way when it comes to electrical is to start with the basics check your battery and all wires make sure all of them are tight by tugging and pulling lightly on the connections make sure there is no corrosion on all terminals sometimes unhooking and hooking back up cleans a connection sometimes and you find the problem check fuses and relays and switches make sure your connectors are hook up to every component and secure and then after i do that and it want crank or start then i test deeper by checking voltage and ohms on say like firing i check the coil output first with a gap tester if there is no spark then i unhook ground wire and if it starts then the safety switches are the problem or there is a short to ground or open in wire or bad interlock relay all those problems you need a volt ohm meter to check ,this method and approach alwas works for me and saves me alot of time ,so to summ it up check basics first don't start jumping deep into something before you check all your wires to every component do a visual and feel inspection before getting out the meter and going deep into something.

I've been there. Had a kabota with a fuse link in the charge system that was blown. it was in the black wire loom and I didn't know it existed. I has a lot of time lost on that one.

Humility is key. Everyone needs to admit their mistakes and it's even better if they can laugh at them too. Great to hear about your expansion plans as well. Keep up the great work. It always makes may day when I see that you've posted a video.

Did the same thing....Went through every safety switch, key switch... the ground had too much dirt and oil on it. Paid 300.00 zero turn, I sold for 1200. I check the ground first now.

We've all been there, buddy. I had one that I bought to flip last year that I spent a day on because the brake switch wouldn't work. After putting two new switches on it and chasing my tail for a full day, I pushed it outside and forgot about it. Over the winter, I pulled it back into my shop and right away found a wire that had been mashed and shorted to the underside of the frame. Thirty minutes later, I had it spliced, soldered, and heat shrunk back together and used it cut my grass for the first cut of this season then sold it the following day. I would have given that POS away if you'd asked when I pushed it outside last season. 😉 Stay safe out there! 🦅

Oh man that sucks that is the the thing with trouble shooting almost have to run down a list or you will get lost in the mess . I had same mistake not with a ground but with a coil cutting in and out of spark thought coil was bad becasue snowblower would run for 10 minutes on the dime and shut off . Long story short the spark plug boot was not screwed on completely and the coil would over heat and shut down blower but threee hours later found the problem .

The charge for me and it took 4 hour's the bill would have been $120 if I really didn't know about what I was doing. Just guessing at it. I will split the bill. That's why electrical issue's are just that. Difficult to diagnose unless you have done a hundred of them. I have found wires chewed up under the engine cover. Wait until you get an industrial mower with electrical issue's. You will charge for every minute. You will be learning electrical troubleshooting for a very long time because there's so many thing's with those issue's so just keep going at it and figure out your feelings over the charge because that is just how electrical troubleshooting and repair work's. Next time you will check all of the wiring connections in the harness to determine the fault. I have made a series of test leads to bypass switches and relays to troubleshoot quicker. Sometimes I make them in the field too. There is a limit on how long it should take but learning about it on a customer's dime should be billed accordingly.

Electrical problems are the worst. Then to not check for ground was a rookie mistake for sure.. Id rather do maintenance also.. Most residential mower parts are not built to be rebuilt, just swap parts.. Thanx for comments..

I have a 36 bradley like yours and went with the oregon gator blades after seeing one of your videos.. I was wondering do u think it's a good idea to sharpen the new blades before installing on mower?
