I practice my Russian all the time, for example saying Привет instead of saying hello (I don't remember the last time I said hello instead of Привет even to non Russian speakers) and whenever something happens to me that I would say something like d*mn I say it in Russian. It really helps.

Always learn new words in context and immediately learn a new word, practice it in context, combining the new word with those words that you already know well in your own examples. This will significantly accelerate the pace of your progress. "Reverso Context" is an amazing tool for learning the language that the era of information and digital technologies has given us. 30 years ago, students could only dream of such a tool in their wettest linguistic-erotic fantasies.

Good ideas! I saw a similar video where a guy films himself every day talking about himself in the language he wanted to learn, he would speak english if he didnt know the word he was trying to say. He would then immediately rewatch the video and look up all the words he didn’t know and try again the next day. By 30 days his speaking skills and vocab relating to his own life improved so much! Always say im gonna do it but instead I find myself just watching more videos on how to learn faster 🤣

"Speak every day, even if it's just to yourself." I practice Russian with my foster cats. One of them actually changed the sound of his purr in response to my Russian. I miss practicing with him when he went to his new home. He came to me with the name Quinn, but when he left I was calling him Boris. Stereotypes, right?

One of the useful methods that I use is Yandex browser. Why? Because there is a voice assistant that you can talk to in Russian, if your case like mine, don't have anyone to talk to( In general, it does sometimes use difficult vocabulary, but it's a great source to know new words and in what contracts they are used.

You need to search in your soul WHY are you LEARNING this language if you will NOT be WILLING to TRY TO SPEAK with Native Speakers?!? а? ... ну и что ты хочешь там блин сидит там и думаешь русский язык типа халява или чё - ало? yes and then comes the comprehension part, that's a challenge, been living in Russia for the last 9 months, now I get through with things at home, supermarket, pharmacy etc.. however the challenge I've encountered and still is not talking to people, but listening and trying to comprehend, I often tell them to slow down a bit so I can catch up, Russians talk pretty fast!

Very old comment but let me help you, if you want to spell common words with Russian letters, whether it's right or not, you should see which letter works for each in a common or general conversation. "Бреад" should be how you try to spell the word with Russian letters! It might not be the correct way, but it's fun to try for beginners! Now imagine trying to spell "eye"

Somethings I would like to add after learning Spanish (and still learning) would be 1) listen to native speakers. They have habits and a cadence and rhythm to their language you can't figure out from a book. 2) think in their language. Different languages have different ways to communicate the same ideas. People intrinsically learn to express themselves the way their culture taught them to communicate. Can't wait to have time to participate in your be fluent class Fedor !!

It took me months to realize it, then a week to get the rolled Rs after I realized the singing thing. I think the throat muscles are held differently or something. It's not all just the tongue.
