Thanks, I'm giving it a try. My two questions are, how loud should the volume be and is it better with or without hearing aids (I have high end hearing loss). Also, how frequently would one listen to this for maximum benefit? Best wishes,

@@chrisconrad5132 hi thanks for asking, have the volume just below the sound of your tinnitus and slow turn it down as your tinnitus softens. Listen when you need to then listen to relaxing music or ambient nature sounds to keep your mind of it (there is loads of those on my channel :). It should be ok without hearing aids unless it helps, hope all is well and stay positive,

A lot more feedback here: www.reddit.com/r/tinnitus/comments/k768ap/years_of_piercing_tinnitus_gone_for_a_week_so_far/ Is it possible for you to make a playlist with just this video repeated 2 or 3 times? Apparently this poster thought this video was so helpful he converted to an 8 hour video to listen to overnight, so maybe an 8 hour version of this video or a playlist with this playing twice over would be easier to share!

So I've made maybe 5 comments on KZfaq all the years I've had my account. As someone who suffers from Tinnitus, and was starting to get really emotional drained, shut in, upset, I stumbled upon the video. Last night I listented to this for just ten minutes. When I turned it off, I could not believe it. The sound in my head went from a screeching, hi pitched loud ring, to silience. It became a tv static, whitenoise sound. Like a comfortable fan. I will continue to listen to this multiple times a day, and maybe my brain will rewire itself, learn to ignore or not activate that part of the audio cortex. You are a saint. I am sure many feel the same. And it bears repeating. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for this. You are literally saving lives! Funny, but I had Chinese food last night (cheat day), and my fortune cookie said the best reward in life is helping others. Please continue to help others. You will be rewarded in life. Be well.

@@calvinliu1183 Hey there, when I started using it, I played it every night for a half hour....then I Googled purple noise, and listened to that to fall asleep. I'm not using it every night anymore because I can barely hear my T now. Every once in awhile it comes back with a vengeance...I put this on right away for a half hour to lower the sound. I dont use ear buds...so it kind of drives the dogs crazy....but it's really the only thing that's helped me. Honestly, cut down on salt too...it probably helps as much as this app. So ya, I did a half hour every night for a long time...really focus on the sound with your eyes closed...try to relax. I found about 10 mins after I shut it off...I noticed my T sound changed and was a lot softer.

Tinnitus brothers and sisters like me just a few tips thats helped me personally. Stay away from sugar, caffeine and alcohol it'll just make it worse. My tinnitus tends to spike when I've had these. When your tinnitus spikes like mine did last week remember it'll go back down eventually, don't panic! Also many millions of people have tinnitus, the people who get very bothered by it have underlying symptoms paired with it. Like with me I have very bad OCD so I'll obsess over it until I get out of that cycle. I only have mild to moderate tinnitus so I cant hear it outside if I'm not trying to. I can't speak for 10/10 tinnitus sufferers who hear over everything. Also this video gave me 3 minutes of silence so I'll be forever grateful to you. Thanks for reading

I think the trick for me is to distract myself and not focus on it. It's super annoying though. I just went to the ENT and they said tinnitus is caused by hearing loss. We have lost hearing in those frequencies and our brain is trying to create something that isn't there. They say people with tinnitus need to get a hearing aid. I'm only 49. Wow - this actually works. I listed to it for an hour yesterday and it lasted 7-8 hours. Listening to it again but splitting it up in two parts. 30 in the morning and 30 at night. My friend did something like this for his T and he no longer has it. Took awhile and listening to it for everyday for several months, but it re-wired his brain in a way. He explained it like resetting your brain. Weird I know, but he legit doesn’t have it anymore and he had it really bad in both ears. Mine is on my left that came up earlier this month. Could also be from my neck tension/nerves that are very tight in my neck per my chiropractor. I wouldn’t give up on this if you’ve seen improvement.

@@heretikmusic7054 T sucks ass. I wouldn’t wish this on anyone. I think mine is caused by nerve issues in my neck based off what the X rays showed and my chiropractor. I’m hoping at least.. It sucks that T can develop so suddenly and out of the blue. So so many people have it yet it’s not important enough to have serious treatments for it like they would with depression/anxiety attacks, etc. those are pills that correct a chemical Imbalance in the brain. T is no different. Baffling that they could essentially cure all those illnesses via the brain, but can’t correct ringing in the ears??

It's been a little over 2 years now for mine. It started off and on in September of 2019 when the temperatures can fluctuate up here in the Northeast. My sinuses usually bother me but nothing major...just annoying. I had also started the annulment process, which is very stressful. About 2 weeks before my meeting at the Diocese, I almost fell. I had twisted my foot when I caught the edge of the walkway. I almost fell but went backwards and hit the garage. I went to the Doctors office and they thought it might be my sinuses as my blood pressure was good, no dizziness or loss of balance. I read up on it and tried some products for ringing ears. Nothing helped and then the Covid shut downs happened. I started reading about tinnitus and watching videos. The videos have been a great help at bedtime when I really notice it the most. I'm busy during the day and preoccupied with other things to distract me. Now that I am happily married with all the stress behind me I think I will try a Chiropractor and see what his opinion is.

This is the best treatment I’ve found to date and I’ve been hunting for the last 6 years since my T arrived. If you are suffering from the invisible demon in your ears do not get discouraged as this is the decade for treatment. In 2019 a research group out Ireland began experimenting with bimodal neuromodulation, a process that involves matching your T tone with neuromodulation while introducing slight electric impulses to the tongue using a noninvasive device and the efficacy rate is mind blowing. Leave it the US though to be last on board for anything that actually works unless it’s big pharma. There is help on the way and it’s only right around the corner.

Interesting that you say, "at the moment". Mine seems to always be somewhat the same. The difference is what is going on with me at different times. Stress certainly seems to play a part as does exposure to loud noises...again. Mine started over 40 years ago with a day of loud noises. In the last few months it has again gotten a lot worse. I am trying this and hoping it works. I have been successful at just sort of ignoring it for long periods of time but it is clearly always there. I wonder what my life would have been like had I never had this. Not too happy with things at the moment to say the least.

Maybe it's cumulative if you listen to it a few times or maybe on a daily basis? Maybe an hour isn't long enough? I don't know, just thinking of possibilities. I'm "lucky" that my tinnitus changes pitch and patterns frequently throughout the day, sometimes it's like sleigh bells, sometimes a constant pitch, sometimes more of a hissing, sometimes like crickets. But when i put my hands over my ears, the sound doesn't diminish so I know it's not real crickets, bells, water, wind, etc. At least I get some variety!

hey folks! so the tinnitus doesn’t get better or decrease in volume over time. However if you listen to this video or the “ACRN Tinnitus Protocol” consistently while staying healthy (exercise, diet, meditation, yoga) the tinnitus can stay relatively subdued and you’re much less likely to experience a spike. this was my experience. this video and videos like it on KZfaq are amazing and help so much when a spike happens. I am still holding out hope one day we find a cure for not only tinnitus but hearing loss in general. ✌️

Hi all, just wanted to post this in case it helps anyone. I've had sever enough tinnitus since December last year. I sleep about 3 hrs a night sometimes less. I wake up and it kicks in and can't go back to sleep. I saw a specialist this week. He advised tinnitus is not a condition. He said it is a symptom of another problem i.e. stress or anxiety. He advised to stop smoking, no drinks with stimulants, no salt on your food and listen to white noise vids on low level volume for about 5 mins 6-7 times a day. The nerve hairs in your inner ear can be damaged as he said was with me after numerous hearing tests. Can't say I am any better but just said I would share what I was told
