Hey I don't know if it's only me but when you hit ultra-high dissonant pitches (so much it's almost vibrating) it really does something in my brain and I can feel it in my ears. Don't know if I'm hearing things or if you are doing that voluntarily in the video, but I think you are on to something. It's those sounds that are really effective somehow. If you make another video please try to exploit that.

Mine was caused by extreme stress. First week was torture, first month was hell. But then, I kind of got used to it. When I defeated my severe depression, stopped antidepressants (which didn’t help much with tinnitus in my case), it started to go away. Now it’s only noticeable when I go to sleep, and in the last weeks I’ve been able to fall asleep without listening to this track. When it started, I made promise to myself, that I will give people hope, because all the comments are so depressing here. People! It’s very likely to get better. Even if not, it is possible to live with it, happily! You will learn. For those just entering tinnitus community, welcome and condolences. But don’t rush to judging. After my first week I was thinking of killing myself (because of other extreme stress and now not being able to enjoy silence and relax). But I’ve hit rock bottom, and ever since it’s getting better. Stop thinking it’s the end of your life, it’s not. Give it half a year. It will be better. Also, HUGE thanks to art of zen. The video is best for my t, and even now, when I don’t need it anymore to sleep I still listen sometimes, because I only have good feelings attached to this track: calmness, ability to sleep. Your work has deeply impacted my life in the hardest of times, I am very grateful. What you do is very important. Hell, I’ve listened to this track every night for about 2-3 months. Thank you.

Its funny because I also promised myself that I will give hope to people. I was at the same stage, severe stress as you can imagine. It took half a year for mine to go away. I don't even hear it when I go to bed anymore. Every month that went by it got better and better. At the start I was finding myself at the ENT every other week with them telling me they couldn't see anything wrong with my ears. The thing with tinnitus is theres a few things that can cause it, could be neck problems, TMJ, wisdom teeth, sinus infection, hearing loss etc. Personally I think mine had to do with neck problems. I never thought I would be able to sit in my porch and listen to the wind blow in silence but I can now. Saying that, even on month 3 when I still had tinnitus I learned to deal with it much better and I knew I could live with it. I just happened to improve and im grateful for it. Most of the comments I see on here is of people who just got it and not many people come back here to say how its better so were left with a lot of negative comments with no hope. But believe me... it gets better.

Dion Kotsilimpas hi, are you in Greece? I’d like to talk to you about this, I’m currently suffering and freaking out. If you see this, please respond. Thanks
@dionk6282
@dionk6282 4 жыл бұрын
@@rounick28 I'm Greek but live in the USA. Freaking out is part of the process, believe me. The first thing I would go do is to see your ENT to have a hearing test done to know if you have any hearing loss. Hearing loss can introduce tinnitus but not for everyone. Mine took 6 months to clear up. I believe mine was caused by neck problems. Yes neck problems can cause tinnitus. I still go to the chiropractor to get it adjusted. However, the doctors always told me that my ears looked fine and there seemed to be nothing wrong which than reassured me that something had to be causing it not related directly to my hearing. Remember tinnitus doesn't just happen, something has to cause it and until you fix that underlining condition it could take a while to improve. Believe me when I say this though that your body does get used to the sound. The panic sets in when you start thinking it won't get better. Finding out you have tinnitus can be more stressful than having life-threatening condition because you think you will have to deal with this for the rest of your life. I was on the same boat. The only time I hear it now is when I drink alcohol or ahem... smoke but that is normal. Now just ask yourself, have you been sick recently? A sinus infection can cause tinnitus. Do you have any facial pains? Have you been taking any medication? Including pain killers? Do you have any facial pain, neck pain or even back pain? It can even be caused by TMJ which has to do with your jaw, if you open your mouth really wide and hold it for a bit does the sound go away? It could just go away by itself when the body heals itself depending on the injury that is causing tinnitus but first thing first, go see your ENT. My doctor has told me even trapped ear wax can cause tinnitus which is VERY common. There are many other things that can cause tinnitus but you have to go see the doctor first because the solution can be very simple. Keep me updated

Dion Kotsilimpas thank you for your reply. I’ve already been to 2 ENTs with different conclusions and 2 psychiatrists, I’ve been in this hell for about two weeks now. On my way to a third ENT in a couple of hours. This is the worst hell I’ve ever been in... I just turned 40. I’ve been under tremendous amounts of stress lately, even more than usual.

Ive had tinnitus for almost 20 years now. Listening to this and pausing the sound, it feels like your tinnitus is gone for a minute. I forgot what silence feels like. This gives me a glimpse of it. Its absolutely magical. Its obviously not a cure, but definitely helps forget about it. After 20 years its getting to a point where i cant sleep. Which is why im here researching for masking sounds. I still hope one day someone will find a cure.

Hello, I am DDS Murat from Turkey. I have been trying to overcome tinnitus for a while. As a result of my observations and research as a doctor, one of the most important causes of tinnitus is temporomandibular (jaw joint) joint dysfunction and neck region posture disorders. In fact, we should not look far for treatment and we should not be hopeless. The treatment is simple occlusal splint and a collar. My advice to you is to visit a TMJ specialist dentist as soon as possible. Let's dream of tinnitus-free days together 😀

the thing is I don’t want to have one sound replace another :( I loved and appreciated silence before I even got tinnitus. I constantly craved it in order to calm and center myself. now it’s just gone. I ended up getting tinnitus in my right ear a few months ago from an infection and last week I got it in my left ear out of nowhere! it’s not noticeable in the day unless it’s really quiet but when Im ready to go to sleep it’s like a chipmunk is trying to perfect a high-note inside of my skull lmao. it’s annoying. if tinnitus was a person I’d scream in its ear all day and see how it feels 😂

Practice neuromodulation therapies etc and protect your ears... it's like the Goalkeeper who sustained a head injury playing soccer. He now always wears a head protector. If you have tinnitus then you have sustained injury and damage to your ear. To give yourself chance to recover, and to prevent further damage... it's very important to wear ear plugs if you are entering a noisy environment, and make sure to remove them safely from the ears after use, dont just yank them out. Also see this as an opportunity to remove stress from your life and improve your diet and exercise habits, because too much stress/fatigue is not good for tinnitus. Dont despair.. if you do these things, your tinnitus will get better.

I developed mine about a year ago. It was super, super bad....something I couldn't live with. Felt I was going completely insane. Would lie on the ground screaming it was so bad. Went to doctors everywhere, nothing helped. However, after a few months of bearing with it the best I could, it finally started to die down a bit. Just hang in there. I still have it these days, but most days I almost completely forget I have it. It's usually just at night that it becomes noticeable or an annoyance...but most importantly, it's just that...an annoyance. Hang in there. It should get better.

I had tinnitus for 6 months. Right now its only 5% of what it used to be and it gets better every week. However I didn't see any improvement for 3 months. Month 1-2 it was very stressful. In and out of ENT offices trying to figure out what was causing it. To the doctor everything looked fine. Month 3 I had accepted it was part of my life and I was learning to cope with it a lot better and that's when I realized it getting better. Right now I only hear it if I really listen really carefully for it. So I consider myself cured even though I can tell it gets better as every week goes by. I think what caused my tinnitus was my neck. I had a stiff neck and facial pain the side I had my tinnitus. As the pain got better so did my tinnitus even though I never had neck pain the first couple of weeks of getting tinnitus. Basically tinnitus is a symptom of another issue, it could be TMJ, sinus infection. wisdom teeth, neck problems or hearing loss. I don't have any hearing loss so I figured it had to be one of the other reasons. I didn't have tmj, no ear infection but I was told my wisdom teeth looked like they needed to be removed. Right now im visiting a chiropractor to help me with my neck. Point im trying to make is, don't focus your whole attention on your ear. Try to figure the main cause for it to cure your tinnitus. Google would tell you in rare cases it could take up to a month, but ive talked to people where it took months for it to get better. Not many people come back here to tell their story of how it improved because its a part of everyones life people rather forget, including me. I came on here because I felt like I needed to reassure people that it can take longer than expected for it to finally get better.

Folks, I've had tinnitis for 20 years. The first few months were the absolute worst and I thought that I was going to jump off a building to get away from it, that's how bad it was. One thing I did that really really helped tremendously was that I severely limited alcohol, caffeine and sugar. I found that anything I did that increased blood pressure also increased the tinnitus. The greatest relief, however, was when I eliminated salt and processed foods, which meant I made just about everything from scratch. My symptoms improved dramatically! After the first few months, with the noise being reduced once I implemented the dietary changes, I was finally able to put the noise on the back burner of my mind because the intensity of it was reduced. You will survive this. However, during the first few months, it seems like it's anything but survivable.

I’m in an early stage with tinnitus right now, only have it in my right ear and i only notice it when going to sleep or if it comes to mind in a quit room. Listening to this makes it go away for about 10seconds so thank you for giving me a form of complete silence again. I’m really peranoid of it getting worse, i hope in the near future there will be a cure for this horrible way of living. Best of luck to all readers with tinnitus! Edit, 1 year later: Hey everyone. I never expected this many comments on my original comment. Thank you all for the comments and stories. To answer everyones question, I still have T, both ears now, right ear got worse than the left ear so that really sucks. I came back to this video 2 days ago because i remembered it to really help, had been searching for it for a few nights but never found it again until now :) Been trying a lot of random things to try and make tinnitus go away, none have worked so far. I’ve heard people trying magnesium sauna’s so i’ve planned in a session to see if that helps. First thing i’d advice all who just got T to lower your volume use while having earphones or a headset on, and for god sake please buy protective earpieces when going to a party, club, festival or during new years eve etc. Oh and i should also comment about being paranoid, i’m not paranoid as much about it as i used to be when T just started. I’ve come to terms with it during daytime and can ignore it most of the time while faling asleep. The first few weeks it’s horrible to adjust to, but it gets better, trust me

Paranoia only makes it worse Random dude. Its easier said than done i know. When you hear something in your ear and its not from the outside it make you panic and that only make it worse. Everyone with tinnitus has different ways of reacting to it. My father in law has it and it doe not bother him. Others appear to have a life altering experience. I have had it for 16 years. And my father had it for his last 20 years of living. He reacted to his tinnitus much less in his last 5 years. I believe the reason for this was that he was on a low dose of the drug Zoloft. My mother would say that he does not complain like he did for so many years before the Meds. Three years ago my tinnitus changed from the usual hissing sound to humming in my left ear. It effected me to the point that i sought therapy. The therapist suggested i see a Dr. to prescribe something. I was prescribed 30 MG of Cymbalta and have been taking that for 3 years with out any side effects except the one that i wanted and that was to not react to that stupid humming in my ear. I still get the humming but i do not react. If i get that high pitched ringing I take a low dose of Klonopin which a sedative and that allows me to let go of the anxiety that i feel when the ringing starts. I avoid loud noise, stress, and high doses of caffeine. Take advantage of all the masking sounds that KZfaq offers. And always know you have the company of millions of Americans who have this condition. Its not as bad as you think and it will not get worse ,it will get better. And sometimes it even goes away. And another thing, limit your negative internet research for it can drag you down. Stay positive.

This is the first video I've found that seems to actually work. It turns my high-pitched tinnitus into a much quieter and much more tolerable fuzzy hiss, like static on an old TV, but with the volume turned down pretty low. It's temporary though. If I listen to this for an hour, I get maybe a couple hours of relief afterward before the hiss turns back into a high-pitched tone. But I'm going to keep listening and see if it helps fade it away over time.

After months of struggling with tinnitus caused by stress, sleeping for 4 hours at night and so on, it started going away once I was able to relax on holidays, attempts at meditating also helped at times as did sauna. Lately it returned but this track unlike other sound therapies that I experimented with for treatment is so effective that the symptoms went back to the most manageable levels that I recall from over past few months. There is hope and hopefully cure will come with repeated therapy sessions. Hopefully someone benefits from my tinnitus research :) Thanks for posting this!

The first three months for me was horrid. Audiologist measured mine at over 65 decibals. 2nd or 3rd worst he ever measured in over 30 years. After 1 1/2 yrs, I finally learned how to manage it. I take high doses of vitamins which has helped some. Also, I use sound therapy. Mine is worse in the daytime. In the evening and at night, I can manage fine. Been a struggle but I am getting some help now.

About two years ago I had an episode where it was driving me crazy but then it seemed to have gotten a little better where it didn’t bother me. About a week and a half ago I was exposed to loud music again and it is driving me nuts again. I’ve been listening to this for just a few minutes and somehow, someway when I pause the video my ringing seems to be temporarily unnoticeable. I’m not sure if it’s just due to distraction or what but you may be on to something here. Thank you for this.

My advice - live your life and let T exist. Someday it may just be gone! It was a hard pill to swallow but honestly it's not really bothering me that much anymore. Also, get a pair of nice ear stops if you like live music. A word to the creator of this video - It's the one I listened to the most frequently in the past. It helped me go through the rough patch. This is somewhat helpful to relax and distract, but please people - some of us have hearing damage induced tinnitus caused my the inner ear hair cells literally getting broken away. When this happens, and especially when there's an underlying anxiety issue, there truly is no 'cure'. The best you can hope for is habituating to it so you don't notice it, and when you do, you don't care. I have had extremely loud hearing damage induced tinnitus in both ears for 12 years - very high pitched. Loud enough it's easily audible over a busy city street. It has never gotten quieter, but I've habituated to it. However, about every 8-12 months, something happens where my habituation breaks down and I start all over. This is a good tool to help you start ignoring it, but for those of you like me, just accept that it can take days, weeks, months, or years to habituate. You just have to keep trying and not give up. Also, try not to 'fear' the sounds. Hopefully one day they will find a treatment to actually reduce the volume in people with neurologically based tinnitus like mine. It's probably a good 10-20 years off, but the thought we might have relief sometime in my lifetime gives me hope.

Nothing worked. My hearing loss hasn't increased but my tinnitus fluctuates. There are good days and bad days. Recently, it went skyrocket and I can barely function. I have trouble falling asleep and I can barely bring myself to do anything, except lying in bed, because of depression. I listened to this for about 20 minutes and the high-pitched sounds in my ear are better. There is still sound, like a rustling, but it's manageable. I can now go about my day. Hey man, we're all in this together. As someone who's suffered from tinnitus a long time now I felt exactly like you do now and I can tell you it does get better. Not necessarily because the ringing stops but because we humans always adapt in the long term. The longer you have it the more it seems like something normal that you often dont even notice anymore. Don't let it define your brother, there's plenty of famous and successful people who go about their day and do great things, even with tinnitus. You can too, just keep trucking, it'll be alright.

I've had tinnitus for as long as I can remember. Always a faint ringing whenever it's quiet, but this past week it's been so aggressive its been giving me headaches and I can't focus on anything in my day to day life. I'm at my wits end with this and I don't know how to cope with it right now. Sorry for the rant, but I'm so frustrated with this I needed to get it off my chest somehow

I'm really paranoid mine is getting worse. I don't think it is retrospectively but it does worry me. I find slight reassurance knowing that there are times when you do forget about it because you are focusing on something else. The curse is though, as soon as you realise you've forgotten about it, it comes back lol

I've had tinnitus for the longest time (I think I remember having it as far back as age 10 or so, before I even listened to music or anything, but back then I thought maybe everyone had it). Recently I thought it started to get worse, so I went and got a hearing test done. I was told my hearing is very good, so at least I know my case is not necessarily linked to hearing loss... Whatever the cause, this video did provide some quick awesome relief!

Don't fear, treatment is on the way. Who knows, maybe even a cure in our lifetime. Just stay positive and don't give up. We've got this. I too had suicidal thoughts when it started six years ago and then changed about 10 months ago. Habitation is a blessing and your brain learns to tune it out. True that some days are bad but most of my days arent and I can ignore it. Meditation, diet and exercise have tremendous effects against your tinnitus. I think of it this way, my T gets worse when I slip and start to fall back into poor dietary habits or when I drink alcohal or caffeine. I think of my tinnitus as an alarm warning me to slow down and get back to a healthier lifestyle. Tinnitus can be a blessing. Try naming yours. It can help to talk to it. Strange coping mechanism I know, but it works for me. I named mine years ago and tell Jeff to shut up when he gets too loud. Sometimes he listens. Lean on these tinnitus maskers when it gets bad and try to breath. You've got this, friend.

My Tinnitus started when I was 28 about 7 years ago. The first 3 months were terrible. After that I started to cure and after a year it has been extremely minimal (only able to hear in bed) to completely gone. Now 7 years later with a career and a 2 year old son it has come back now for a couple of weeks. I hope this is caused by stress but after such a long good period this is quiet scary. Anyway, this sound wasn't there when I first had it and it helps a bit. Thanks for uploading and stay positive eveyone!
