These are his 4 MUST KNOW reads for YOU to become a P&R Master.
To become a master at the P&R, you need a combination of reps, game film breakdown, and game experience.
Step 1 - Watch this video all the way through and TAKE NOTES on the details.
Step 2 - Get in the gym and rep out each read with NO defense.
Step 3 - Come back and watch film on Trae, Juwan, and other P&R masters.
Step 4 - Play 3-on-3 and ONLY use pick and rolls to score
Step 5 - Be ready to show your work in a real game!

A quick read that leads up to a good decision in the pick and roll is seeing who takes the roll man and who stays with you. Backing up in the pick and roll also forces the defender's hand. If they have a miscommunication and you end up wide open, you shoot. If you back up and they overcommit on the hedge you can hit the roll man.

@@LuckyLuca2 i mean if you dont trust them you will never know however in grade 7 if your open you should at least shoot 30% as a team

I meant 8th grade btw. I'm more than a 40% shooter. None of my teammates have ever hit an in game 3 before

EGTBasketball totally agree, but for middle schoolers...it would have been better to see the play then break down certain aspects.
