We were recently in Danville, IN to visit 4 Piston Racing, a premier performance Honda engine shop, and co-owner Luke Wilson. During our visit, we got to see a ton of cool things in various stages of completion, but one of the standout builds was this naturally aspirated USAC Midget Honda engine that had just come off the dyno. 9600rpm with a 99mm stroke!!! That’s well over 30m/s peak mean piston speed! 🤯

154ci . K24 alu. Block & Head 90mm bore +3mm over bore from Oem 87mm bore Stock 99mm stroke using oem crank . 9600rpm . Little over 400hp . No variable cam timing . Mechanical injection ITB setup Engine weight under 300lbs Its insane how things have changed since i was into hondas 16 years ago..prices on K series engines have come down while B series vtec engines have more than doubled in price. .. wish i didnt sell off everything i had years ago..

Unfortunately, the engine was not run ready and it was off the dyno at the time. We can't always control that kind of thing, and getting an engine on the dyno can take some time. Sorry about the audio!

I would invest in some kinda microphones or something. It's not that I can't really make out what you're saying it's that turning up the volume it actually hurts my ears to listen to this. I stopped watching like a minute in ...🤷

Apologies for the audio on this one. We recorded this via iPhone and no mics. We normally have professional gear on hand, but weren't able to utilize it for this particular one.
