Anyone who criticizes this guy should be ashamed of themselves. It's easy to type diatribes. First, this guy is amazing. He's a pretty big guy to pull these exercises off. He's an example of what a human can do. Don't criticize.....just respect and behold the level of fitness this man has.

So, he works with the military but he's not a member of the military. Still a badass in my books.

Don't feel bad for not being able to do this shit. The only person you compete with in life is yourself, if you can only do 10 pushups now, aim to do 15 by next week, don't aim to do one arm clap pushups like this dude next month. Personally, I find circuit training with bodyweight exercises (not these hardcore ones) to be very good and grueling. It, 10 reps of each exercise back to back, to be done explosively with super quick turnaround in between exercises (wide arm pushups, squat jumps, v sits, close arm pushups, pike jumps, burpees, twisting sit ups, tuck jumps, leg raises) in 3 minute rounds. It will shock your body and though each exercise will work the intended muscles out.

Both have their positives. I just switched from weightlifting to calisthenics approximately a month ago. Already love it. But i also loved weights. Miss it a little bit but already got the looks i wanted from 2 years of training. Now its strictly strength gains & whatever comes with it.
@khalidhosein684 жыл бұрын
So why not use both methods?
@samfitz98684 жыл бұрын
@@khalidhosein68 Once I progress to where I'd like, ill start to tie it back in. Weighted dips & pull ups are always great. At the moment i just dont want it to hinder with my training. I started training daily cause body weight allows such. Adding weights would put stress on the nervous system. Dont want to risk overtraining.

***** Okay where to start, I'll go through some of what you said and give you my opinion on it. The whole pay for a membership for something he could have done in his basement, if you were referring to the gentleman in this video I believe that's a military gym he is in so I don't think he is paying for it but even so some people just like to get out of the house sometimes. The clapping is pointless thing you mentioned, the clap isn't to build muscle it's to build explosive power, its called plyometrics, so you perform the push up or pull up with enough explosive force that you are able to clap during the excercise, these can be done with out clapping of course but the clap is a good indicator that enough force was produced throughout the movement. I'll end with any type of sport or exercise can cause injury, weight lifting, calisthenics even running it doesn't mean we shouldn't try them, if using incorrect form or you try something that's too advanced for you without building a foundation first then most likely you're going to hurt yourself, I think if you have built a solid foundation of strength and use good form you have little to worry about, gymnastics being a good example.
