Nice vids, Would I still be able to fit my inline 235 engine with the Jaguar front end? Or will the oil pan and rack and pinion be a issue?

I need help trying to figure out the steering column with my LS swap. I have a 49 chevy truck as well. Can't get the right headers. Order 2 sets that the vendor guaranteed that would fit.

With swaps it’s tough. You will definetly have to make it custom because it would be unknown how close the engine is to the firewall. You will have to see if you need to fish the steering shaft through the header or around the outside, which is also dependent if your rack is in front of subframe or behind. You may have to modify one of the tubes (cut out) of the header to give yourself an option. Then just need to have it re welded with a different bend .

I need to see more of this build. I'm doing an F100 with all Jaguar xjs front and rear suspension. I've got most of the front done. I welded mine in. I'm at the point of doing my steering shaft. It's the headers I'm litterly running into. How did you make the bushing for your column? I don't have a lathe? More, More, More... As Billy Idol once yeld...

I sourced a bronze bushing at an Ace hardware store and then 3d printed an ABS spacer. But you can literally make a spacer out of anything. The keyvis that bronze bushing. What year is the F100?

@@garagebuildznfab2861 what made you want to out Jaguar on the front end. What are you doing on the rear end?

@@garagebuildznfab2861 have you seen the Thunderbird independent rear suspension set-up . I have one of those also. The Jaguar rear suspension is much more complicated to do than the Thunderbird. But I'm doing all Jaguar. How old are you?

What motor mounts did you end up using? Were they also from Welderseries.com?
@garagebuildznfab28614 жыл бұрын
Mark DeMonaco I used some generic rubber ones from Speedway. Part # 91018012. Then I fabbed up the brackets with some tubing and plate that tie into the frame and sub frame. One way or another you will need to do some fabricating.

Say I have a 1954 1st series 3/4 ton chevy truck . My steering is hard to steer. I but gear oil. But still the same.
@garagebuildznfab28613 жыл бұрын
You probably need to see if adding caster or maybe it’s negative caster helps. Top of kingpin tilts to the rear.
