49 Chevy Truck with a Jaguar IFS a good idea?

I will be installing a mid 80's Jag XJ ifs into a 49 Chevy 3100.
Here I give you the reasons why its a good idea.

In 1982 I bought a 25K Mercury Bobcat, sister to a Ford Pinto , and Mustang II. In my opinion that setup isn't heavy enough for a V8. I'll use a Jag IFS, and IRS in a Model A I have here. Part of the reason is: I don't want to redesign anything, and this stuff is coming off the same car. Narrowing the width is pretty straight forward. I'll probly go with Double adjustable, spring over shocks.

Really nice. Have a -50 3100 im working on and havent desided yet how to go with the front. This is goding to be very interesting 👍

Have you coming keyed this IFS yet? If you have could you take a few pictures of the lower shock mount? I re-installed mine the same way as I remember. I end up with a really large turning radius. The lower shock mount hits.

I put a mustang 2 kit in my 51 chevy, install is easy, about to start a 4 link for the rear.

scrowty mcbugerballs What kit did you go with for the MII? For me it was just looking for a cheaper alternative and something different. Best of luck on the 4 link.

i did the helix kit ,1200 dollars. the good thing about the mustang kits ,everyone does them so everything has been figured out.
