Жыл бұрын

Got a call on Friday afternoon about a 4runner on Hells Revenge Trail that the motor wasn't running and needed a tow out. So me and Mike loaded up in Trailmater and went to get it. We had to be quick cuz I had to be at a rehearsal dinner for my buddy Travis's wedding. On our way out we came across a motorcyclist who had dropped his bike on a steep climb, so we helped him quick then continued on our way. Once out to the vehicle we seen all wheels were attached and it was just the motor wouldn't run, so the quickest and easiest way out way to pick the vehicle slightly up, cause that puts traction on the rear of the truck and have Mike in running the brakes as needed. We made it out and to the customers camp and back to the shop with plenty of time to spare for dinner. Thank you everyone for watching and supporting us.

Don't understand why more people don't realize the advantages of not having music when the true sound of music is tires chirping, chassis creaking, little bit of fender rub and a lot of engine noise.

Your channel is amazing because your talent and workmanship are amazing-all without fanfare or drama. I LOVED the camera work showing the chassis below, working hard to deal with the terrain and giving us direct evidence that you pick your lines very well across uneven terrain. How we didn’t hear any scrapes or see any gouging is testament to the driving. I also get a big kick out of watching the suspension, axles, leaf springs, shocks just working and absorbing and dealing with the terrain. It FUNCTIONS like a “well-oiled machine” but it LOOKS like it was just rescued from a junkyard! The ultimate sleeper tow truck! And the video work- it’s absolutely artful.

Rory you are a true saviour. You rush out to pull the custom Toyota with the not running Cummins motor. On the way you stop and assist a sixty year gentleman in getting his motorcycle right side up, and it's all in a days work. Hope you made your rehearsal dinner on time... Rory you stay safe and keep helping those stranded individuals because you have the super tow truck that gets them all out. Trail Mater to the rescue...

Rating: 👊👊👊👊👊 The footage of the Trail Mater towing the Toyota with the sun casting a shadow up against that 'wall', the creaks and groan of the suspension, the low-growl of the engine at low-rpm; These little things are definitely 'ASMR' and probably the main reason why I find your video content so enjoyable. Thank all of you for the continuing frequency of these uploads! Hope you all have a really great (and safe) weekend!

Great, now you've ruined it for me. ASMR is the worst, most nauseating, most terrifyingly awful sensation I've ever felt in my entire life, and I strive to avoid it at all costs, and now you've tied this to something I actually enjoy watching for technical reasons. Thanks for destroying yet another formerly enjoyable thing. I guess I'll have to watch with the sound off and subtitles on.

Dude, trail mater is a simple but yet an engineering marvel. It's ability to resist sway while towing a vehicle blows my mind. I think the key is the phenomenal leaf spring suspension. I think if it had coil springs that it would need massive sway bars to resist the torsional forces brought on by towing in off camber terrain

I don't know... But I'm curious ??? My old skid loader with a 3.3 in it had a factory fuel shutoff breaker switch on it. If bumped something too hard it would pop the breaker. You had to disconnect the Positive from the battery, press the re-set button, then re-connect the positive side of the battery. Then the fuel pump would go. I can't help but wonder. Did that switch get transfered into the Toyota when doing the swap ??? If it did, that wouldn't be a good addition to a rock crawler !
