Note: I overreacted a little this video so some parts of it may be cringy. Not even 2 full months after a violent long-track tornado hit the south part of my county, another severe weather outbreak occurred in my county, this time with damaging winds and large hail. I believe some of the hailstones were about 1-2 inches big and gusts were around 60-70 mph especially at the beginning of the storm. Most of the hail was only quarter sized though. Our front sidings have had minor damage unfortunately due to the storm. I’m not sure if the roof got any damage though. No tornado formed with this storm I think. But still this storm was definitely one of the more intense storms that have directly hit my area in quite a while. Recorded May 7, 2023.

Just want to let it be known that I’m just an autistic kid with ADHD and that it’s hard for me to control my emotions at times. So I’m sorry if parts of the video may be cringy, but please don’t leave any mean or annoying comments about it. Any mean or annoying comments will be removed. If you don’t like the video then please simply just leave it. Thanks for watching! UPDATE: Also now that I think about it, this probably actually wasn’t golf ball sized hail but some of the hailstones were atleast around 1 inch big and the winds were gusting near or around 60-70 mph especially at the beginning. Thanks for over 500 likes and 20K views!

Also important to remember that it's not always 'emotional' anxiety! It can be a medical reaction to the sudden low barometric pressure. I actually have to take medication during extreme tornadic weather. If you're not sure if there's a tornado and you have a tornado warning, always best to seek shelter. That sounds like a broken record but I've been in that situation, and you may have only seconds to get there! And just to clarify, the tornado siren will not sound during the entire tornado threat, only upon their issuing the warning, and possibly a second time if it's upgraded to confirmed or life threatening. You did a great job filming this!! Stay safe!

First and foremost keep yourself safe!! Thank you for sharing your scary weather. I live in Scotland we don't tend to get seriously violent thunder storms, Tornadoes aren't unknown here but nothing like on the scale you guys see. It's amazing how quickly they get going isn't It? We get really intense wind storms in the winter, when there's no leaves on the trees so they don't tend to get uprooted.

Being October now, we're out of our thunderstorm season. Next month starts our potential tornado season. If we tornadoes, it happens between November and April. This last February I had one of those pencil thin tornadoes move over the lake in my backyard and between mine and my neighbors house. Not too bad. Now in February 2020, we had 4 tornadoes within 1 mile. One of which was only about 150 feet away and did damage. Exciting and scarey. And in April 2011 I saw golf ball size hail for the first time. Scared me. I never saw any that size before. That storm ended up producing a significant twister about 2 miles after it passed me. I got lucky. The temperature went from 88⁰ to 54⁰ in about 10 minutes time. It smelled of pine SO strong outside due to the hail destroying all the pine trees.

This is an example of classic tornado weather and its interesting. Before all the hail and rain, it seems the winds and Mother Nature had already decided what the plan was at about the 4:19 mark in the video. There was no rain yet, but the winds were starting to whip around. The instability had started. Gotta love Mother Nature. Even the winds with semi clear skies and were fast and unstable at the 4:19 mark. Winds were whipping before the tornado! I think I would get a heart attack.

I'm 60 years old, NT, and grew up in Florida, so I've lived through decades of hurricanes and tropical storms. And the scariest storm I went through was a hailstorm with winds and torrential rains just a couple of years ago. So frankly, I thought you were pretty darned brave throughout this storm. You handled the filming and commentary very well. Actually, I too kept saying "Oh my God!" so I can relate. Thank you for filming and sharing, and I hope your house didn't sustain any damage.

You done. Very good to cover the storm, I myself get a little short of breath and kind of on edge when things like this happen. It's human nature, you done wonderful and don't worry about if anyone says anything negative, Great job!

I'm from serbia last year we had supercell with hail 5cm in diameter and 80mp/h winds and a second thunderstorm with 8cm hail size. They said that this year thunderstorms will be much worse posibly with tornadoes.

Good job making this video. I’ve watched weather videos that are not steady-handed and annoyingly aimed at the ground or car interior rather than the storm. You did a good job with this, kid. Interesting storm, don’t know if it produced a tornado later, but if it was sucking up dust it was just a matter of organizing.

Do not apologize dude, your video is narly and that storm looked tornadic.. Iowa is tornado 🌪 alley.. went through a storm in Ohio last June that was one of the worst I have been through, we had 80-90mph winds with gusts up to 94, it hit after midnight and another storm came through at 4 am.. nothing like being woken up by tornado sirens, it was not a tornado that went through.. your video was great 👍

Great job but golf ball sized hail? 🤔

This actually wasn’t golf ball sized hail I don’t think. This was probably just quarter sized. Although some areas in our county did get golf ball sized hail from this storm, but the part we were in had smaller hail. Thanks for watching!
