I think keyless entry is overrated and doesn't provide any meaningful convenience, especially when taking the significant risk of theft into account. On my Range Rover Velar, which has pop-out handles, you have to walk up to the car and press a button on the handle to pop-out the handle. With keyless entry disabled, you simply press the button on the key fob as you approach the car so the handle is already out by the time you get there. More convenient, especially when it's raining!

Greetings from Los Angeles. I haven’t tried it, but I’ve seen many other videos showing how you can just wrap your key remote with aluminum foil at night to prevent signal reception by the car thieves. Car theft and catalytic converter theft is rampant here also.

First thing I did is switch off keyless entry in my L494. The minor convenience of keyless is really not worth it. Also had the Ghost and tracker swapped over from my M2. I use a disclock, problem is I’ve read they can very easily be defeated with some outside of the box tactics.

I believe air tags make a noise as well so thieves will find them and will get rid of all the ones pinging.

The steering lock you used is better than nothing but thieves cut the steering wheel and pull the lock off, a Disklok that covers the whole wheel is better. You can also get OBD port locks, which helps and finally a hidden switch or key fob to turn disconnect the fuel pump is a cheaper option than a ghost for older cars.

Problem with pedal locks, they aren't easily visible from outside. It's covert not overt.

Additional advice being shared but not mentioned in your video is to deadlock your car everytime by pressing the remote control twice when locking the vehicle. 😉

Keys that sleep when they are still and motionless would be the simple answer, no movement of the key = no signal, instead let's all spend a ton of cash re-inventing the ways it's done and charge it onto the customer with a system that will eventually also be overcome as well.

I have a faraday pouch And my spare keys are in a faraday box Now problem is my car will not open if the keys are in the box(I tested this) But now for some reason I can still open the car if my keys are in the faraday pouch!! It worked at the start but now with keys n pouch my keyless entry is not blocked

Air tag is no good the police wont make a theft priory unless you have a tracker . Also a 2018 has the Range Rover app with a tracker.

Airtag ok for iPhone but I don't think they work for Android phones.

Pretty sure the air tag will only communicate through an iPhone. Not an Android!

Apple air tags also ping the phone that’s near, they also now beep making them easily found and removed. Apple made this update to stop people being tracked without their knowledge.
