You must love the way you look in the landy, the problems you've had are a joke for a car of that "quality" 🤦🏻‍♂️

Hi Doc - just curious as to WHY you chose that particular location for the "legs" at the rear of the truck. Surely it would be more balanced (if you put weight on it) if they were on the first slats - looking at the vid, there is enough room in the Ford Standard rail mountings for this. Obvidously, this could be a subjective "looks" thing, but I would (personally) - from a weight bearing point of view, have given myself as-wide-as-possible to ensure any weight is always between the legs

You’re doing wrong conclusions. Not sure if deliberately or you just did not look wide enough. Falling prices are not for Range Rovers, they are for hybrids (and EVs). Because people started to realize that buying a used battery is not fun at all, and half the price of these cars is the battery. All hybrids, mild-hybrids, plug-in hybrids and of course EVs - all turn to junk on secondary market. Sadly Land Rover stepped into this pile also, but just wait for hybrid and EVs superstars to get old enough for secondary market: everything from Rolls and Bentley to Lambos and Ferraris. There will be a biggest price drop in history. PS: bad luck with your engine, but sadly that’s a different issue that just plagued these new engines developed by JLR. 5 liter SVRs are not hurt - these are among most reliable engines in LR… P.P.S: Also, for their age, “not for everybody” status, expensive ownership etc - SVRs are doing pretty well price-wise. Any mhev or phev dropped way-way more in shorter time.

What's an Amerock?🤔 BTW, we have a 2016 explorer sport with a 3.5 turbo, with 175,000 miles on it, had to replace a cam position sensor, was able to fix it myself, cost $30, this 3.5 is awesome, it's fun holeshoting BMWs and Chargers!

I hate my Disco 5 now, my 5 year old, 53k miles car developed engine failure due to broken crankshaft, cost me £10.5k to fix, no warranty, no goodwill for a dealership serviced car. Now I have suspension fault just after collecting the car. It’s like a nightmare you can’t wake up from.

I am thinking of getting a Raptor but can you tell me is the electric cover in the back fully waterproof or does it leak.
@RangerClubUK
@RangerClubUK 3 күн бұрын
They're not guaranteed waterproof, the water tightness can differ depending on fitment. If you need something waterproof, then fitting a canopy or solid bed cover would be the better option.

So far mine has been 100% waterproof- on my older gen ranger it leaked so was expecting similar on this one but it’s been great. Mine was fitted from factory as part of the ‘raptor pack’

Will the sail plane will get in the way of bikes and roof tents? I have a tent on a hilux and it needs all the length of the bed, same to get a bike on a Thule 591. Glad I didn’t get a sports bar.

The engine of my 5-year-old LR Disco 5 with 53k miles is also gone, crankshaft broken into 3 pieces, no warranty, and no goodwill even though I always services with Jardines in MK. Worst purchase decision I have ever made, certainly the last LR I am buying. On a crusade to discourage any future buyer from now on.

Presumably they do ones that are quick release and ones that flip up and fold out of the way so can load up the load bay with big stuff, or people, if needed.

I have additional points to add: 1. The a/c change automatically to outside air every time you switch of the car and restart. 2. The driver front gauge cluster mode defolt to factory setting everytim you switch off the vehicle. 3. Driver seat belt assimbly give ticking and rattling sound which drives me crazy. But if you ask me would I buy it again. The answer is: yes.

You question why it doesn’t come with a hybrid. Probably due to low sales. It doesn’t appear there is a facelift in the near future. Looking dated instead.

Mine is back in garage for a warranty simple job. First appointment cancelled, then last Friday after having it for the day, I was told it would need to stay overnight, then over weekend, now overnight again. As you said I have been having to ring up to be told we might get to do it.. and then I said if you couldnt do the job why did you take the car.

So firstly. - the light grey plastic can be purchased as an aftermarket in OEM black, clip off and straight on. - USA front bumper is all steel but that probably road safety, especially in the country of health & safety. - mpg 19.6mpg is only 12liters/100km that better performance then my first gen and my current second gen. So I would say that’s amazing and your probably not driving it hard enough 😅 - we don’t have heated steering wheel, probably why there isn’t a button to adjust to different markets. - as for the parking brake you should always (especially with that gear box) put it in neutral, then pull the parking brake and then move to park. This make sure that the vehicle is not depending on the gearbox (park) but the hand brake… much better the longevity of your gearbox. Also when you turn the vehicle off, doesn’t it move electronically into park? Or not available option in the uk? - what I don’t like is the amount of tires this thing goes through, heaps of fun on and offroad.

What the hell? £250000 for basically a skip. The secret is to buy an older depreciated vehicle from a good reliable brand for about 2 grand and drive it until the end. Anything after 2010 is usually more complicated so stick to simpler less electronic vehicles

These are joke vehicles driven by clowns. JLR is always bottom of any customer satisfaction or reliability survey. If you're idiotic to still buy one you then you deserve it when it breaks down or gets stolen

Sorry but never buy an SUV like a land rover with a 2.0 engine. They are made from chocolate and are suited to the evoque even in the evoque they aren’t brilliant. I’ve had many land rovers and there’s always problems but allways get the v8 diesel. The engines are strong or the v6 in the other discovery’s
