These subtle signs will give you a better view of what the guy that you're with, what he may actually be thinking and some of the things he may be doing, that are actually expressions of him liking you but not really having the guts or the strategies to really tell you yet.
These 5 bizarre signs are a subtle indicator that guys will give off that they actually do like you.
SIGN 1: HE’S VERY SERIOUS OR QUIET [01:53]
The first sign that he likes you is that he gets really serious when he's with you. And he's just really serious in his conversations with you. He's really serious in the interactions.
The reason why guys do that is because he wants to play it safe.
SIGN 2: HE’S FORMULIAC IN HIS APPROACH [03:06]
This next bizarre sign that he may like you is if he's coming across formulaic.
[03:12] FORMULIAC means rather than say going with the flow of the interaction and just being spontaneous, maybe he's waiting a certain amount of time before he contacts you after he gets your number.
The reason why men stick to formulas or anybody stick two formulas when they're in social interactions is because there's a level of discomfort that they feel.
SIGN 3: HE ACCIDENTALLY INSULT YOU [04:53]
Alright this third sign that he likes you this one is he may accidentally insult you or challenge you in a way that seems a little bit inappropriate. And what happens here is he's trying to flirt with you.
He's trying to create some type of emotional connection and oftentimes the quickest way to do that in flirting is to challenge the person or to tease them or to butt heads a little bit and create a little bit of friction between the two of you.
SIGN 4: HE COMES OFF COCKY AND BRAGS [05:56]
The fourth bizarre sign a guy likes you could be that he is being cocky and bragging.
If you're with a guy and you're getting to know him and he's being a little bit cocky and bragging but deep down underneath you've got this feeling that he is a pretty good guy, it's probably because he is wanting to build value in your eyes.
SIGN 5: HE DOESN’T INITIATE PHYSICALLY [06:49]
The fifth bizarre sign that he likes you is that he doesn't initiate physically. Now this can be awkward if you're giving the guy green lights and he's not moving forward with you, it can feel almost like he's rejecting you or maybe he doesn't want you, but with men sometimes the lights can be completely green and it you can have it plastered on your forehead that you want him to kiss you or that you want him to hold your hand and he still might not do it because he might like you so much that he's badly wrestling with his nerves underneath the surface trying to figure out how we should step up because he wants to respect you.
One of the concepts that I tell my clients is just assume that it's always on, that the person does like you that they are interested in you, because when you assume that the person does like you and you look for reasons that they do like you then how do you think that impacts you in the moment?

#5 is spot-on. Often, guys touch girls not because they seriously like you but because they want to get sex. So if a guy is seriously into you, he might not touch you at all (at least at the beginning) until he is sure it is what you want.

I know a boy. I have been best friends with him since preschool. He is funny and kind- ish he is a bit mean to others but kind to me. He teases me but also stands up for me. You nailed it, in the beginning of my relationship with my man I wanted to be intimate all the time after we were for the first time and he didn't I thought he wasn't interested, he's been hurt by so many women before, I felt rejected but after a year of this I stayed loyal and patient because I really was falling for him and so ladies it was because he did really like me and now we are intimate all the time he knew by then I wouldn't hurt him. I have a question. How do males and females bond with each other? I don't see how men and women can bond (especially romantically) with each other. Women can build incredible friendships and become very close to each other in a way men can't bond, and science shows that women can bond very well with each other. Generally, women are even more social than men are. After something bad happens, a woman quickly rushes to talk to all of her female friends to get support, whereas a man can isolate himself and grief alone. Women tend to be more emotional, more caring, more empathic, more compassionate, more affectionate, more loyal, more nurturing, more understanding, more sympathetic, more sensitive, more kind-hearted, more peaceful, more patient, more calmer, more gentle, more expressive, more intuitive, and more outward than men are, and thus bond more with other women in a special way that they can’t with men. Men, on the other hand, are not that emotional, and thus can’t bond with other men in a special way. Women are more comfortable being around with other women than they are with men. They have a type of bond that usually men with women won’t really have, or with men and men. Most women like to do affectionate things with their female friends like cuddling with them and holding their hands and be touchy-feely towards each other, while most men would never do affectionate things with their male friends (especially not cuddling with them or holding their hands or be touchy-feely towards each other). Men are usually much lonelier than women are. Men don't often talk about their personal problems with their male friends like how women do with their female friends.

Just tell him he is hot n ask him what he thinks about you. I actually threatened this super reserved guy that I would walk away if he did not tell me the truth. In the end, he expressed his feelings n we are hitched. I didn't really care about the consequences as I prepared to move on if he's not into me.

I'll offer four possibilities. Fear of rejection (immediately or when they reveal something deeper about themselves). Fear of misreading your signals and then getting accused of sexual harassment when he declares himself. Not being sufficiently experienced in the area of physical intimacy. And borrowing from Jane Austen's Sense and Sensibility, being entangled in another relationship (think Edward Ferrars).

Not only stating the subtle sign he may be interested in you, but also you explain the reasoning behind how he may be thinking or why this guy is more conservative on his approach. I never realized that a guy may think in this way (which would or could be why he is not appearing interested). It's good to know this information and thanks for the positive approach in your coaching tips. My first impression and thought as I listened to your speech was...Wow... I really like him. Number 3 is very interesting. It is so weird bc you want to avoid narcissists. I had a guy actually tell me I did not know how to take my time. It basically sounded, with his tone and inflection that he was telling me I would not take my time in a romantic situation. It was very strange. But it did seem like he was trying to create tension. But you also do not want to dismiss someone who is genuinely trying to get to know you.

I've had an on/off thing with a wonderful guy who does almost all of these signs, so thank you, its so helpful to hear them explained. Deep down I can feel that he is really keen but is scared to let go/mess up. He's had two long term relationships and I feel he's scared of 'failing' and falling again. It's hard going though and he ends up backing off. I guess keep being happy doing my thing and he might eventually lose his fear, or maybe not?! Wow these are SO TRUE!!!!! I was honestly noticing these different things, like not initiating physical contact, but making excellent eye contact and looking at me when I'm not looking, but then keep eye contact when I notice him. Certain things such as these random insults that seem slightly degrading yet the way he says it and laughs makes it seem like it's supposed to be light hearted. I can't seem to understand why he is the way he is sometimes.. but anyways this really helped!! Thanks so much Clay!!
