Top quality video Paul, KZfaq just suggested this video and glad it did. I've been trying to learn for a while now and often feel stuck playing the same or similar thing. Whilst I practice different note lengths, there is something about adding in some triplets that feels really satisfying. These patterns really started to challenge my muscle memory and feels like my fretting hand got a descent lesson in mobility which is something I think I've been missing. Love the fact that you've included the tab as well so I can practice without needing the distraction of KZfaq (oh the irony). Dam sweet looking axe as well, I'll finish watching your video on it, was somewhat diappointed to hear they made it in this colour for you as it would be amazing to own. Anyway, a new subscriber here 🤘🤘🤘

@@PaulWarrenMusic well thank you for sharing. I also think the change in direction to repeat a few notes sounds good and works well for dexterity. I hope they do make colours like this for production models. Maybe by then, I can afford one. I've got a PRS SE Custom 24-08 in Eriza Verde and the colour "pops" pretty good.

I am learning the guitar modes from the 6th and 5th strings in C major. With this method ,once I learn and memorize these patterns in the key of C, I can play them in all other keys by simply starting on another root note. What do you think of this method Paul?

Absolutely! These are simply melodic ideas that will translate to any 6 note grouping. So mode or key doesn't matter. Just apply the pattern to that fragment and you've got it! Thanks for checking out the video!
