Highly recommend the spud inc front chest harness with this, it's a great addition to this machine.

I am hoping that they come out with a lat pull down attachment for this. Great video.

Thank you for the video! I was trying to figure out which belt squat was better. The lever or the cable based?

Which one is your favorite? I like the idea of using slam ball with Rhino full body workout and I'm sure pushes heart rate up high!

yea I was thinking about getting the rhino belt squat plus rack..the rack it's 24" but it looks like there is only about 4-5 inches of space from the front uprights ato the rhino platform on floor..i don't see how I can do incline, decline using a bench outside of rack? Right now I have a prx wall rack and when I do decline and incline bench I have to move the bench back about 13 inches so I can bench..I don't think I will be able to bench outside this rack with rhino built in to it:( I emailed rogue and they said that not even the 30" rack will work with a bench outside since it only has about 6-9 inches of space in the front:( so I don't know what they ment by me been able to lift outside of rack without a bench. Lol.. Iam I supoused to bench, incline, decline standing up without bench. Lol I don't know what's the purpose of them selling it with rack if I can't really use rack not even outside of it?

Great video. Where did you get those small blocks? Thanks!

They were left over stall mats that I cut up. I got the stall mats from tractor supply.

Did you do anything to keep the arms in place when doing box squats? Mine fall back to the "safe" position if you're not holding the handles. Also what did you use to make the handles for calf raises. I hold on to the top and definetly have to lean forward more than I would like, your setup looks better
@carolinabarbellgym4 жыл бұрын
We have a strap we weave through the handles and just lightly hold on to them so the handles don't fall forward. As for the extra handles i just welded some 3/4 pipe on a 1" bolt and just have a nut on the other side to tighten it down. Hope that helps.

Hey guys, in the video you were doing deadlifts on the Rogue Rhino Belt Squat. You utilized blocks for the deadlifts and was wondering if you could tell me how high it is from the ground. I'd like to make a pair but not sure how you compensated for the raised platform. Can you advise please? Appreciate it.
@carolinabarbellgym4 жыл бұрын
So we used our 6" deadlift blocks we have. They are comprised of a bunch of 2×4s standing on end glued and screwed together with a 3/4" piece of plywood on top also glued and screwed together. With a rubber pad on top of that. Total height is 6". Now the rogue belt squat platform is 7 1/4" so our blocks put us in a slight deficit.

I really enjoyed the information. Need your help, I cannot find the spud inc belt with the multiple rings anywhere. It looks like a much better option.
@carolinabarbellgym2 жыл бұрын
Looks like they stopped making this one, rogue has an adjustable one and spud inc makes a different style for adjusting the size now.
@meisdetermined Жыл бұрын
The belt that Rogue currently offers is like $95 and is much much better than the spud belt

Good day We just got one of these at our gym but the lock gets on the way of the up and down movement. When you pull the locking mechanism back to unlock it it doesn't come all the way back. What might need adjusting?
@carolinabarbellgym3 жыл бұрын
We just used a mini band to loop around the handle and the upright. It's does that too, might be from the slope of the floor.

What handles did you use to hold on to for the calf raises? Is it something rogue caries?
@carolinabarbellgym3 жыл бұрын
They might, but it's 1" pipe that I welded on a 1" bolt. So I can place them through the holes at any position.

anybody used a kbox or kratos flywheel for belt squats and lunges? How does it compare to rhino belt squat? I am not a powerlifter just lift to have lean muscle and for jujitsu training and aesthetics. I have a bad knee do to sports (arthritis) so maybe kbox or kratos will be better?

I've used a flywheel years ago at a military gym. It's a great machine but feels different than a belt squat. Unlike a belt squat machine where the load is, for the most part, the same throughout the movement, the flywheel has a unique power curve at the change of direction. Both are great ways to train. If space is a factor, the flywheel might be a better option. -Pete

It's crazy all the exercises you can do with the rhino it's a great machine. It's great at belt squats that's for sure. However, I dont know if I will buy it just for squats🙄 About the other exercises you can do on rhino I can do them on my lat pull down or FT, curls, lat pull downs, cable curls, low rows l, let curls etc. However, something ideally like about rhino is that i can turn it into a reverse hyper... I do have 2 buldging disk in lower back and love doing belt squats and reverse hyper should help my lower back too🙂 I iam buying rep pr4000 with ares.withing a month. I know as far as doing belt squats u can't beat the rhino OR squat max, however I believe I can mimic belt squats with a DYI belt squat system or with one of thoese leverage arm belt squats. I like the sorinex squat j squat. I know the angle it's a little different with leverage arm tha when squating with belt squats but for the price difference I think it's worth the shot?? I still like the rhino though. LOL Iam trying to convince my self not to buy it. Lol. However I think it's more like a luxury🙄

if only this machine was 1000 bucks... it would be perfect.. but I guess I'm demanding too much...

I hear ya, it's well made though so its worth the cost.

I am not a big fan of this machine as is. They need to create a quick release attachment if you get stuck at the bottom of a rock bottom rep. I have short legs and I got stuck at the bottom and had to get help to get out of the screwed up belt. The link in the middle is a pain in the ass to work its some weird ass looking rock climbing gizmo. They need to get rid of that piece of shit and create a super easy quick release attachment. A machine where you cant go to failure safely is not a good machine. In its essence its a great idea but dont go to failure at the bottom or your fucked.
@carolinabarbellgym4 жыл бұрын
Agreed, the way Matt Wenning has his belt machine set up is nice, with the adjustible stop for depth. Premium price for premium equipment.
@bbrockRailFan4 жыл бұрын
Marching in place? WTF does that do? I take shits more intense than this. Slam ball, might as well take your pants, off squat and take a poop then stand back up for a few reps.
@meisdetermined Жыл бұрын
It’s a great warm-up for your lower body but also your lower back. If you have ever pulled a muscle in your lower back then you know how much it gets worked with every step you take. But you’re correct saying it’s not much of a movement for making gains.
