I picked up this headset from Five Below a couple years ago, and I love it. Excellent buy, it's held up well through the years. Picked up a NEW pair last week - same store, same brand, same box specs, and the new ones are horrible. Weird noise/buzzing in the background of every recording, and it sounds slightly..... canned? Muffled? Opened up the mic covers on both sets, and the new one has a teeny tiny mic like half the size of the original one's mic. Rip off. Until I can figure something else out, I'm sticking with my old pair - even though the sound sometimes goes in and out on one side. To anyone reading this: keep your receipt! The only good thing I have to say about the new set is that listening to music with them is very nice. Everything comes in crisp and clear. The materials have changed here and there though, so the overall feel is a little cheaper. The cups are shaped the same, but the padding feels a little thinner. Plus there's that teeny microphone that just sounds sad.

I had them for a year good headset clear sound but they hurt my ears if I dont take a break. And the boom mic I have to bring it to my face to talk. But overall for 5$ very good 7/10

Can the mic echo from the headset sound? I have a lot of experience from headset echos on Discord and it's pretty annoying. I needed a headset that doesn't pick up the sound from the headset so I can have the volume high.
