@@oyinkansolawewe4281 Sorry to hear that. My scalp is very sensitive too. I can't use commercial shampoos. At this time I can only use Ambunu herbal shampoo or 22nd Century Natural Products shampoo bars. Adding oils directly to my scalp is a no-go for me. I add oil to my hair during remoisture. Using this water mixture has helped with reducing dryness to scalp and hair.

My spritz mix: I soak/infuse distilled water with fenugreek seeds, horsetail, nettle, black seeds, dried amla, neem, marshmallow root, slippery elm, rosemary, cloves. Sometimes I do rose, hibiscus, aloe, burdock root, lavender. I tested them all put first individually. I use a blend on my daughter with less herbs. Amla, neem, aloe, rose, rosemary. She had a reaction to hibiscus. I usually use dried leaves and not powders because they are just easier to strain. Sometimes I add green tea. Great for scalp and hair. Fenugreek is usually in all my infusions. I use a variety of herbs so It's hydrating, nourishing, antibacterial a little and has some slip. Great under an oil or butter based sealant. I use

My favorite thing to use to keep my scalp moisturized and keep the roots of my hair soft is to spray a mix of water, glycerin, aloe vera gel (Holika brand), and an essential oil, my favorite to use is peppermint oil. I keep it in a amber glass bottle, and every few days or so I shake it up until it’s really mixed up, and then I spray it lightly on my scalp and then I follow up with avocado oil and rub it into my scalp to seal the moisture in. I do this every few days, it keeps the dandruff away really well, and this makes my protective styles last longer because my scalp isn’t dry, itchy, or built up with products. I’ve been using this mixture for the last couple of months, and I’m three weeks in since my last wash day and I haven’t felt any sort of itching or dryness or seen any dandruff!

Thank you for this video! Right now my spritz of choice contains purified water and a small amount of keratin-containing conditioner. I'm recovering from a terrible case of moisture damage, and I used info Iearned on your channel to stop the horrifying breakage. I still wet-set my hair at night, but because I pre-poo with coconut oil, use a keratin-containing shampoo and conditioner, and set my hair with my "keratin spritz," my curls are smoother and not puffng up as soon as I take down the rollers. And my hair has stopped that super-excessive breakage.

I use a DIY tea rinse that I absolutely love. I steep five different organic teas (lavender, sage, peppermint, bamboo, and green tea) in equal parts aloe vera juice and distilled water (about two cups each). I spray this mixture on my scalp after shampooing and leave it on under my deep conditioner. I also use it occasionally as part of my between shampoo moisturizing routine. I began using this mixture a couple of years ago and it worked beautifully to stop my excess shedding.

Thank you for all the good information. Will gray hair pick up the red color from hibiscus water. I'm very conscious of the color of products and solutions I use on my hair.

A: Well, I'm about to try this cloves hack I've been seeing... I'll try it as a spritz n see what happens. Then maybe soak it in some oils... (I'm not very consistent with keeping moisture-still working on it via protective styles)... My hair is long n thick but I still get a lot of breakage, and I know it's due to dryness....again, till working on it. Tnx again! Really appreciate your channel. It's inspiring!

I do a green tea batch @ 5 cups on water days. I usually save about 1 to 1.5 cups to build a spritz. In spray bottle I plack the green tea , add in 2 to 4 cloves, approx 8 to 12 drops of essential oil of choice with 1 to 2 tops of oil of my choice. I shake before each use, store in fridge & style or massage.

i enjoy using fenugreek water. soak seeds and drain. if it's the powder, seep in hot water, let settle, then strain. so much slip and moisture. need to get back to the aloe water.

Thanks for this! I have learned so much from you. One thing, about the Quaker brand oats. They use glyphosate (poison) in high levels on their oat plants. Please use an organic brand.

You are 3000% correct about this! ✔️ Those of us who are very discerning about food and ingredients have known this for a very long time. Thanks for sharing this helpful info. 🙌🏾 Because if you add oat milk using Quaker Oats to your other spritz ingredients, it will taint them and render them ineffective. What's the point? I personally won't be adding oat milk to any of my spritz combos. Even tho my oats are organic, I will use it alone.

Hey Tonya, I’m still using my homemade fenugreek & aloe Vera spritz, I use it in place of water when I’m moisturizing my hair. So I’m getting moisture & promoting hair growth at the same time.

I have been using aloe vera extensively. Ibuse fresh aloe vera. Some plants have a good thick gel and others are watery. The watwry batch goes in my spritz bottle along with hibiscus water. Where I live (Cape Town South Africa) aloe and hibiscus are EVERYWHERE. Pity I only learned how to use them about a year ago
