Nomadism is definitely a means to an end. Once mental, emotional and physical health are in order from the start, I can imagine 'the life' as something truly magical and transformative. I am on the cusp of starting my journey and I will have all the major dominoes in place very soon. This has been a very inspiring vlog. Thank you Conni.

Hi Conni, the point you made about taking your problems with you, was a good one. Living somewhere else won't necessarily solve your problems, sometimes it just prolongs facing them.

I totally agree. I arrived in Italy 3 months ago, fell in love with the country and the people and it's the kind of place a lifetime isn't enough to explore. I made it my home base. Been to Greece, wonderful countries like Slovenia and France and Austria are just around the corner and it's all E.U. and €uro. I'm not leaving good old fortress Europe anymore. Great video, thanks for sharing. ❤ and respect from Reggio di Calabria.

Hey Conni, just stumbled across your channel. Great video! Both in terms of quality, and in terms of value! I went travelling 4 years ago, and also found myself lonely and depressed at times. Now myself and my girlfriend are planning to quit our jobs in a year to begin life as digital nomads. Videos such as this are so inspiring and helpful! Agree it's important to have a morning routine; I've been meditating every morning for the last few weeks and it's really helping. Thanks

Totally agree, Connie! I preach about slow travel all the time! And I genuinely don’t understand how so many nomads seem to spend all their time socializing and sightseeing. I don’t think that’s sustainable. Also super true that travel doesn’t solve or eliminate problems in itself - it can oftentimes create new ones instead.

Fantastic video! Thanks for sharing, Conni. As a digital nomad for 10 years now, I can absolutely relate to every point you've mentioned. I've slowed down SO much. Unless it's going to a particular event, we now aim for 3-6 months minimum in a place. And actually may be "settling" soon. Excited for this new chapter!

Great video. All your information was good and smart. I am so used to people making videos and just state obvious things. This was needed information. I don't know what to say. I see other videos and I think people make them just to make them but this had some meaning behind it. I'm not positive but this might be the first time I have made a comment, I was just so impressed.

Hello! I think this is a great video, thanks. I'm really surprised at how many things me and my partner worked out at the beginning, probably because he was a genius. 😂 But it didn't occur to either of us not to plan work days and weekend days and sometimes take time off to explore, also because it's time consuming finding somewhere to live, ensuring you have good internet, getting yourself set-up, it also never seemed possible to be a digital nomad and also move around all the time. I feel like three months is a short time. Also interesting what you say about health, I'm not good at exercising alone, so I have to spend time in each place finding classes I like, if I only stayed a few weeks in each place, I'd never exercise apart from walking. So it's absolutely right what you say about think about what you need for everyday living. It's not the same as travelling or being on holiday. Keep up the good work! 😃

@@ConniBiesalski Mainly, i'm unfocused right now and don't have my goals set straight. For example at the moment I'd have to make money before I could go travel or find a job that lets me travel. Make sense? I'm trying to keep the answer short which is a bit tricky for me.

It's a bit unclear what you actually DO to arn money, to fund your (ideal) lifestyle.. Can I ask what the last thing was that somebody paid you for doing, and how much did he/she pay you, what was the job/service?

Hi. I've been a DN for 12 years now. My biggest issue is to find proper food when eating out. So its eating in a lot. I live ketogenic, so a real challenge in Sotheast Asia. I live on a boat, so travelling is very slow and I have my home along. I think you nailed it with your 5 mistakes. Good job.

Hat auch Deutsche da. (also garantiert nicht langweilig) Ich hab‘ sogar Panorama-Blick. Ich sag‘ Dir: Preis/ Leistung ist absolut unschlagbar hier. Und keine Nervtöter, etc. wie in Südost-Asien.
