Off topic, but I did see something odd in a friend’s forest. Unsure what it was, but it appeared like a skinwalker. It saw me and ran off before I could tell my friend. Who knows, could have been some creepy animal... but it scared me, nonetheless.

My grandmother who was Macedonian Roma, used to tell us stories of the Rake and Slenderman when we (me, brothers, sisters, cousins) when we were younger. Not quite in those names but the images definitely matched what people are describing.

Based on my own personal experiences with the pale crawler, or, "the rake" as it is referred to here, it honestly saddens me to hear how so many people seem to misunderstand and misrepresent them, because I have been led to believe that they are actually far more curious, than they are hostile or malicious. I think these creatures are very isolated, shy, intelligent, and curious, yet naturally somewhat fearful, as they seem to live quite socially devoid lives; making them hesitant to trust, despite a bit of a desire to, and making their behavior easy to misread, since they have essentially learned nothing, in the likes of social "etiquette". Their intelligence, likely, makes it certain that they have the complexity to read the terror and disgust, painted across the faces of those people who happen to cross paths with them, however, which, to me, is totally heartbreaking. I honestly feel bad for these creatures. People are awful and disgracefully judgemental. Maybe they aren't the most aesthetically pleasing creatures to lay eyes on, but that doesn't mean that people should be so cruel as to jump to negative conclusions regarding the intentions of the creatures. I have had no bad experiences with them, personally, do not mind being in their presence, and have not found them to be threatening. Had they had malicious intentions towards me, I had given them every opportunity to tear me to shreds, and nothing of the sort ended up happening. I just wanted to put that out there.

Showed a picture of the Rake to a friend that has seen it and they said the picture was identical. My friend and her dad along with some neighbors went out in the woods to hunt it. Ok, I live in Vermont, my house is surrounded by woods, and one day I was walking to my uncles house and I was walking up his driveway(which is very long) I just happened to look over to my left and through a tiny gap in the trees I saw something that was a grayish white color moving really fast it looked humanoid in shape but it was hunched over and went faster than any person could move through thick brush my walk turned into a run and I went into my uncle's house, I didn't what to go back out for the rest of the day so my aunt drove me home, every time I walk to my uncle's house I get nervous walking that same area.

I saw one in like 2017 in a detox facility called copper springs in Avondale Az . I just recently found out it’s called a rake . But it looked exactly like a rake , I always called it a demon . It was terrifying. I drew a picture of it on a sticky note right after.

I was visited by the rake last Summer. I was laying in my recliner, about to sleep, when right infront of my TV tray, infront of me, was this pale, long fingered creature I never seen before. It had leaned forward, towards me, its hands folded and infront of it. It just stood there, eyeballing me. I never before felt so afraid. I normally do not scare easily. It studied me for a good bit until it disappeared the same way it came. I never slept for a good while after that.. Found out later it was there to send me a message that was meant for a friend of mine but was given to me instead, as a warning..
