www.visiondrivenbball.com/eli...
The best and most consistent scorers in basketball are the ones who are able to create space and create their own shot. Guys like Luka Doncic, Trae Young, Jayson Tatum, and Damian Lillard. No matter how good of a shooter you are, if you can't create enough separation to get your shot off, you will struggle to become an elite scorer. These 5 moves are simple, but when mastered, will make you extremely difficult to guard.

Anyone else just find this channel and start binge watching it to absorb it all? Also the best move to create separation in the paint is the euro where you go fast off one then push slowly off the other the defender thinks you’ll go up quickly so they’ll jump and you’ll get an easy layup or floater as an unathletic guard that’s what I go to

Just wanted to add something: You should also work on moving off ball because you won't believe how many easy baskets you can get

Absolutely. Another thing too is that you can create separation off the catch a lot easier when moving without the ball. When someone is chasing you around off the ball you can open up a lot of things on offense. This is a game changer if you can immediately make your before the defender is able to stop running and recover. If you fastforward this video to the pick up shot fake portion you will see clips of Jason Tatum doing this. Jab steps, crossovers, pick up shot fakes, and stepback hesitation opportunities come a lot easier in these situations. The underrated key to unlocking this is developing the one motion quick release jump shot. You need good teammates and passers for this to work effectively, especially in streetball.

What I like about the pickup shot fake is that you don't have to make your defender jump all the time. Just driving hard and pump faking can sort of freeze his momentum.

Nice video 🎯. Time to practice these moves on the playground and then cause some fits in a pick up game at the gym 😂. I did the Shammgod move in a casual pick up game lol - it worked 😆 and I had just practiced it that day in the gym and not even for too long. Now imagine if I put in hours into these 5 moves: forget about it.... haha unstoppable baby...u can't guard me!

Kobe and tmac liked to use the pickup shot fake with a spin move afterwards to get closer to the basket. This is good if you come of a screen or do a curl

Loved the video. Except, there’s a minor difference between a speed stop and a snatch. Speed stop is a bit more controlled and weight is almost evenly distributed. Snatch backs are one-two but weight is more on that second step so the back foot might drag or even come off the ground (Irving and Kemba are both good examples for a snatch)

7:30 is a perfect example of a speed stop and 7:55 for a snatch

Abby IK good points, I’ve always used the terms pretty interchangeably but I get that there could be a difference!

To me the difference is the timing between the dribble and the momentum of the body. Speed stop = cross dribble and stop is in sync. This allows you to go into the next move quickly and potentially keep going downhill right away Snatch = momentum stops, then snatch dribble as you pull the momentum backward. This creates a bit more separation, but it takes a bit longer to get into the next move. I'm interested to hear any more thoughts on this.

I mean, you say the defender will get out of your way, but show them clearly trying to reach for the ball. Realistically why would they try and back up unless it was pure instinct? I haven't seen this in game, but does this really create space often?
@club6525

7:00 I have to disagree with this. Some defenders can just bounce back up, I think it would be best to time it right as their feet are 0.5" off the ground. This prevents them from jumping because they have no ground contact but aren't high enough to block. Basically, they can't block.
