I love my soft tail custom. Been threatening to buy a bike for 20 years. Never could find one that could make me pull the trigger until I saw the one I have. Bought it on the spot and it runs and performs great. Never seen another bike that looks as good and I always wanted a Fat Boy. Still may get one to go along with my Soft tail custom if I can find one that suits my eye.

I agree on the speed. I don't care how fast my fatboy is because I've had a sport bike. I wouldn't waste money on my harley to give it more power because it still wouldn't compare. Im into the harley for the looks and sound.

What inch are your Ape hangers? what is need to go from the original to the higher inch ape bars and do those bars hinder your turning left or right when going slow? Thanks so much for any info. question,, have you ever had a problem with the front belt drive in your transmission on your Harley Davidson or do you have a chain driven transmission and do you know a reason why you would blow out the front internal main belt is it some sort of an alignment with the back tire or transmission is not bolted down right if you know that would be nice to see if it's happened to you before or what could happen to the motorcycle

I'll tell you what I think about your Harley Davidson, It's one gorgeous piece of machinery, I love it. I only have a 2004 Sportster I bought back in late December of '21, and haven't had the pleasure of riding it yet, these Michigan winters are a bitch. I put it in the shop to get a few bugs taken out of it so I can enjoy at least part of the summer. Your Harley puts mine to shame but I'm going to fix mine up a little at a time. I'm 72 y/o and this is the first Harley I've had since 1969, that was a '69 XLCH, bad on the knees, lol. Thanks for sharing a snapshot of your life & Bike.

I grew up in a big city. San Francisco. No one I knew until I got outta high school had a bike. I've always loved the Harley Davidson and if I did ride, this is what I'd ride. Love the way it sits low with that wide back tire. With my bad knees (23 years of baseball did my knees in) and only being 5'8", it'd fit me well and I'd never be caught on one of those crotch rockets. Who cares how slow/fast it is, it looks badass. Oh, and it sounds great!

I know it's been a while. I've a black 98 fxstc, same back fender minus the fender rails from Milwaukee Iron. I had a 140 In the rear, but I had to run it off center or it rubbed the belt. What size is yours and is it the stock wide belt? Thanks

I have a 2009 Fxstc 96 cid. It ran 155 mph on a dyno with a 200 lb rider on it., so I don't know what you are saying about not being fast. I did 120 mph one time, but let off to curves ahead. With my fat ass! So never discount a softail custom. Mine is eventually going to my kids, because it has that classic chopper look that won't be duplicate by then.

Harleys that go 150 mph …… what for…..????? Buy a gixer … 500 lb scooters are not for speed demon time …. Ridiculous
