I’ve learned so much from you!! I’m working on my very first nature journal! It’s freeing for my to focus on one type of flower(weed actually) giving it a tiny bit of honor in trying to identify it and distinguish it for its humble beauty! I’m so much more aware of the common plants that grow around me! I love your techniques and bought the Watercolor brushes you are using! What a huge help! Thank you so much for your work and encouragement!! It means so very much!

Lovely page and take-aways! I tend to draw to learn - usually sketching in pencil 1st, but sometimes starting with ink, then adding color and facts or observations. I love using a dip pen and my new glass pen as well. I really like your ink bottle, I might have to invest in one! Thank you!

Thanks so much! Yes, pencil feels a little more flexible especially when I am planning a layout. So glad you are enjoying your glass pen/dip pen too. I found my inkwell in Washington DC but they sell the same online. Also, I do use plastic wrap under the lid and store out of the sun to prevent evaporation. It seems to be working so far😊

Thank you for sharing, you have inspired me to start my own nature diary. I just ordered a new journal to start this project. I am finally doing what I love, art and nature. Why does it take retirement to finally find the time to enjoy what we truly love to do?

Thank you for sharing your beautiful nature art works!!! It's a joy to watch and I'm learning a lot. I have a question... when you done with the pencil drawing and the inktpen do you erase the lines before you start with using watercolor on tje paper?

Thanks so much 😊 Yes, I erase the lines after I ink but don’t usually show that step. I don’t always erase the lines that I make for the text as they seems to “disappear” once I write on them. It’s totally up to you. 😊😄
