1. Take it slow. The more you run the more the animal will spook. So crouch and stalk it 2. Don’t go for shots you are not comfortable or confident in. Don’t take a shot that can ruin a diamond. 3. Use callers if you think they will help. Use a caller to call in an animal or stop it. Callers are a huge part of the game. Use em 4. Use the appropriate class weapon for the animal you wish to harvest. The right caliber weapon is an essential part of taking down the animal effectively. 5. Take it slow when tracking also. Don’t get frustrated when tracking. The larger the animal. The farther apart the tracks. Be careful. Use the cone that is left when picking up the track. 6. Look for zones. When you get a zone. Don’t kill 3 or more animals in that area or you will lose said zone. That’s not good. 7. Save your money. With the lodges out the amount to taxidermy an animal is expensive. Don’t taxidermy any small animals unless you feel necessary 8. Have fun. This is huge. 9. Don’t follow people around UNLESS you ask them and they agree. Following people is the most annoying thing for the other person unless they agree to help you. 10. If you are hosting a multiplayer server. Do. Not. Kick. People. There are options to make it private or friend only Those are my real tips. I have some time in the game. Watch KZfaq help videos if you need help or go in some creators discord’s. There are plenty of people willing to help. This is an amazing game and an amazing community

Thanks for that response Flinter. I was confused about killing an animal an not harvesting. I never not harvest on purpose. Guess it’s just a weird ethical thing, since I hunt in real life. Quail, Grouse, some rabbit. Whitetail are plentiful here in southwestern VA. I just can’t bring myself to pull the trigger on a deer. I love them. Anyway you do excellent work, I did follow a couple other content creators, but have found myself leaning toward your channel more and more. You give accurate information that has helped improve my game tremendously. Your hard work is appreciated.

The lack of game mechnics tip videos has suprised me the fact no one mentioned you start with 6 tents which can be placed anywhere on the map allowing fast travel without spending any money. Also you start with ATVs in the garage no need to buy one Im sure there are tons of tips like this which iv not seen noted anywhere.

This was honestly very helpful I was tracking a Level 7 Red Deer with beautiful looking antlers a few days ago. I proceeded to lose his track after about an hour because I didnt realise sleeping wipes the tracks. I was gutted as this would of been my first level 7 creature. After you said no animal despawns unless harvested I went on to the location and time I roughly saw him last and there he was! I managed to take him down with a shot to the lungs and he hangs nicely in my lodge!

if you have patience, the bow is insanely effective, that is one of those tips nobody usually finds out until they give it as real effort.

don’t get rid of zones that have diamonds in them. I’ve done that

The thing about multiplayer, is that when you have two players or more hunting at the same time, that's twice as many animals getting killed and respawning, it's just cycle rate, eventually one will pop up, sooner if you're cycling more animal spawns between multiple people. The animals themselves are identical single to multi.

These are great, not just for beginners. As far as multiplayer having better animals, my theory is based from other things I've seen on your channel like killing lower level animals brings about the chance for higher level ones to spawn, and on multiplayer more animals are harvested so there's more spawning in which means higher likelihood of getting higher levels to spawn

Another tip you left out is that you can whistle to make animals alert and you can get them to turn broadside

Great video! I think animals should have a much lower probability of returning to a need zone to add more challenge. Maybe a 1 in 10 chance or so would be nice.

I'm inclined to believe that when a new map is spawned, there's diamond on it, if not more than one. I think that's why new player maps seem to produce diamonds and in my singleplayer games, I've found diamonds day 1 after purchasing a map.

Damn i wish i had a Pc.. You have like Double wiev range compared to console... Animals is just invisible when they are like 150m away... + you can't see shit through threes n bushes like you can on Pc ;/

I have some questions about details Zonetimes are constistent for a particular kind of an animal: Does this mean the same thing for the ,,shared animals" Red deer, Moose and Wildboar which can be found on 2 maps? Animal do not despawn untill they are shot and harvested: Does this also mean for animals killed by predators (Puma/Lion) so they respawn nonetheless?

There should be a big back garden, like a ranch. A bit like the Trophy lodge but you could store live animals, shot with a tanquliza dart. What you guys think?

Use need zones but don’t over use or hunting pressure will delete them

I stacked 2 kills on top each other yesterday, and could only harvest one kill! the other E click, would just inspect the blood, or track underneath, grrr...came back an hour later, tried from a different angle and from further out to harvest, and it worked.

Agree with the multiplayer being the same as singleplayer population wise. I can’t think of any reason why it would be different. EXCEPT, maybe, that more people are on the map driving animals around with the pressure they create. It might make multiplayer more dynamic animal traveling wise. But that’s just a theory ;)

Hey Flinter, Do you know how many different rack types are out there for Blacktail and Whitetail? I am trying to get all racks before truracs. I got 10 different for each so far and that seems to be it.

I’ve learned from experience that you can call an animal in faster if you don’t spam call them

Do ducks also come back to need zones? I spooked a level 3 on accident, then I waited and reset the time, and all that and couldn't find it again

What if you have hunted several times at night and killed say 10 blacktail and 3 black bear in a area. You can’t find 3 deer and 1 bear bc it’s dark. Hey it happens. Do those animals killed and can’t find ever respawn on the map. I figure they would given time, but not sure have gotten mixed answers. Thanks.
