Danke Kristina! What I particularly like about your phrases in this video and in previous ones - and I train myself in ten languages, mostly on KZfaq - is that you only read out the Russian and not the English. It saves time and one doesn't have to switch all the time, just letting the eyes pick up the translation en passant. Grüße aus Mainz in Deutschland

This is a good video, however it would be nice if there was a short pause for people to finish reading it to help follow along better.

Thank for your feedback! I don´t think that everybody needs a pause between the slides. However, if you need it, you can easily pause the video for a few seconds to finish reading the sentence. It only takes one click :)

Yes both things are true however, the name of the video is deceiving in the context. Especially for beginners where the slides don’t allow enough time to fully take it in

@@mikaylaburton3695 I agree. I was also surprised at the speed of the audio, as the title says "slow Russian", so I must use the playback speed button as well as the pause. Still, one of the best channels I've found so far at this level.

You can easily control the playback speed through the video settings (upper right hand corner). Choose 0.75 or even 0.50 to decrease speed).

This is great! Your videos help me so much! Might I make a request? Would it be possible for you to do one of your, "Learn Russian with..." videos with Вечерний Ургант? My wife watches him all the time, and I can never understand more than a few words here and there, and I have no idea what the subject of their conversation is. I loved the Learn Russian with Putin and the Learn Russian with Брат videos! Thank you for the excellent work!

I tried doing that but that channel has a very strict copyright policy. Once you upload their clips, KZfaq immediately blocks your video :( Keep in mind that Ургант talks very fast and uses a lot of jokes, slang, puns, etc. I guess his shows are difficult / almost impossible to understand for 99% of Russian learners

@@BoostYourRussian Oh I see, that makes sense. Bizarre, I thought Russia had some sort of interesting policy that when a video is used for educational purposes, copyright doesn't apply. I remember there was some sort of controversy surrounding a movie streaming service masquerading as an educational tool. Thank you for making me feel better about Ургант. I can handle going to the doctor, the bank, the notary, МФЦ and УФМС, and Сахарово, but I can't follow a talk show

@@patrick8358 it's called "fair use" but in this case, it's a stretch. You might get away with a few short segments but entire video, no. It's copyright issue.

@@williamharshman9572 I understand fair use as it pertains to US law. I'm referring to a Russian law. There is a Russian streaming service called "ivi" which contains a boatload of movies for which they don't own the license to stream. They get around this by claiming they are an educational service, ie Learn English with Movies, or some such thing. An absolute stretch if ever there was one. There is some sort of Russian law which states that materials used for educational purposes are exempt from copyright laws. I cannot recall the exact name and number of the law right at this moment, though. But I thought it was odd, since Вечерний Ургант is a Russian program, and Russian copyright laws are so laxxed that Russian streaming services are in a legal battle with American production companies.

@@patrick8358 I may be wrong but KZfaq being American Company (I believe) is the sticking point of the copyright issue. You can request permission to use their copyright material. I would go with the news or a speech from Putin or other native Russian speakers
