It happens to me on both ways, sometimes I just cannot remember the Spanish word for something and the only word I can think of, it's in English. It's kinda sad because Spanish is the first language in my case.

It's a Venezuelan thing. It's the same as how we say 'ummmmmm' in America. It's a filler. It's so common that I started using it naturally, without officially 'learning' it because I learned my Spanish in Venezuela.

MultiPerla16 This is a little late, but that’s wrong. We DO care about people stereotyping us and wearing our clothes as a costume or aesthetic. What confuses people is that there’s also a market, such as tourism and food, where white oriole wearing sombreros means money. It’s a hard balance, basically don’t wear it to Halloween, don’t wear it during Cinco de Mayo because that’s NOT our Independence Day. And don’t wear it if your really just looking to get drunk. It’s okay if you want to learn Spanish, if you’re into the culture, as long as there’s no drinking going along with it.

Had lots of fun building that thing from scratch and designing and applying the makeup with some help from my friends (two guys had to hold me down to put those creepy contacts in)! #WORTHIT

Totally agree with you, I love unique characters my characters even have stories, and most imortantly I always use regular clothes to turn myself into a character no ready sets or masks. all the latex used to make your own masks lose you ton of facial and body hair but its totally worth it.

I'm just going to spend Halloween in a skeleton onesie (because it's super comfortable) eating pasta in scary shapes. You know, like any well adjusted adult. A few years ago I went to a party as Sexy Log Lady form Twin Peaks. Cause I too hate all these sexy firemen type costumes, but wanted to have fun with it anyway.
