The reason it did so well was because all the moving parts soaked up the kinetic energy like a sandbag. Im quite fat and wobbly so i know what im talking about.

Just a thought: For the messy shots with bits and pieces flying all around, small shattered containers, etc., you could make some tilt up plywood walls to contain the debris field. Easier to clean up then. Also, when bullets eventually glance out of a given set of multiple targets, the wall might stop it, or at least leave a hole to indicate the final exit trajectory. Some multiple targets shots have to be a pain to clean up. On the other hand, the visuals might not be as dramatic...thus better to have a good video along with a major mess to clean up.
