Honestly they could just go the route of buried treasure for the explorer maps. Have to x indicate where you can dig straight down to find a abandoned mineshaft

The difference is that buried treasure is one block underground. Abandoned Mineshafts are entire structures and randomly generated. Where would they send you to? And how many tines would players complain that they followed the map and dug down to the Mineshaft only to find terrain generation overwrote the part of the structure it leads you to, leading to them falling into a ravine or a pool of lava? Its bad enough to find a Stronghold with Eyes of Ender and get there only to find terrain generation removed the portal with a dungeon or mineshaft (in older versions, I believe) or an ocean monument (in newer versions). Now imagine it happening with an optional structure that might have some okay loot at best.

The Elder Guardian Ghost is probably what’s used for the effect shown when you get mining fatigue from an Elder Guardian.

There was something u didn’t mention, but maybe I was just not listening: in the game files there is a secret texture for the barrel, it looks like a regular barrel, but has the old fish (the blue ones before the update) on top of it.

iirc it supposed to represent the barrel as "Filled barrel" i don't remember if the texture have stages of how full it is or i just imagining things in my head.

For example, the texture for silverfish was added in minecraft beta 1.7, when the silverfish was actually shown as a feature in minecraft beta 1.8, the adventure update. Makes you wonder how long they plan updates for.

The wolf howel would actually be a good feature to indicator of when wolves are nearby as its sometimes hard to find them. It could occur at random and the "lore" aspect could be something simple like the wolves are howeling to communicate that a potential threat is nearby. Of course (apart from the indication that they're nearby) the feature is useless.. I think it would be pretty cute anyway lol

It would be very good for finding wolves as it can be annoying to find them find out that you don’t have enough bones and collect more to find that they are gone and to search for them again. Also a howling noise would make them feel a lot more like wolves.

I hope so! The two things I actually want in this video would be the wolf howl and the zombie horse jockey. Untamed wolves would let out a loud howl on full moons and zombie horse jockeys would spawn only rarely and in the darkest light level Ievel in hard mode. (At least that’s how I’d want those features to work)

I'm pretty sure that the trader llama exists so that the llamas despawn with the wandering trader and cannot be tamed (i.e. no free llamas or llama spam around your projects).

There might be difference between Java and Bedrock, I play Java, and I can definitely tame trader llamas, and I'm pretty sure they can be bread with haybales

i noticed that you can keep trader llamas as pets if u want to (u cant tame them) but they get evoked by mobs like skeletons and when they start spitting they can accidentally hit the other one and they can kill each other so i keep mine on leads on opposite sides of a large square pen and mine have never despawned

I think the wolf howl woulda been good if when you hit them they let out a howl and it attracts all nearby wolfs within a certain radius to attack too. But it probably lead to some pretty busted things. Imagine you accidently hit a wolf and suddenly you have a giant pack of wolves chasing you down causing you to hit them, causing them to howl, causing more to come. etc.

Disregarding the howl part, wolves already work like that. Like Zombie Pigmen used to do (and I think Zombified Piglins still do), if you attack one, all within a certain distance will aggro you. Not as annoying as Pigmen/Piglins since they don't spawn in as large of groups and I believe have a smaller aggro range for this, but still

@@Kahadi Ahh yeah, I guess without them actually having a pack, which I think they should really do that better, it wouldn't be as bad. If They spawned when they howled that'd be a different story though. But still think that's probably where they had the howl. You hit them, they howl to summon the rest of the pack. But it probably got annoying if every single wolf howled when you hit them.

1:57 would have been good for letting the player know that their character is out of breath, but then again, just hearing it makes my skin crawl. 3:02. Oh my goodness my ramen noodles fell out of my mouth after hearing that. If anyone remembers the Scape and Run Parasites mod or ever watched John Carpenter's The Thing, surely they'll gag hearing this.

The breath sound definitely would have played when you're suffocating in water and coming up for air, it sounds like someone gasping for air. Also, isn't the Elder Guardian Ghost the thing that flies in front of your face from below whenever the Elder Guardian curses you?

Back when they added the horses they said they specifically made one that couldn't naturally spawn to give something special for map makers and customizes. They even gave it the riders to make it easy for them. Now, since they added their modding systems we don't much need the riding mobs so they are likely just there for compatibility.

The whiter skeleton archer exists in Minecraft Dungeons and they drain your health very quickly on higher difficulties. If it would have ever made it into the base game, they’d probably run around with poisonous arrows like in Dungeons.

Wither arrows and then you "steam" them in a brewing stand to get wither potions that can not be redstoned or glowstoned. The chance of getting 1 ina brewing stand is 50% for 1 bottle 10% for 2 bottles 2% for 3 bottle. Effect duration would be 2.5 seconds. That how i think it could work

I always thought it was the original curse You know when they curse you a ghostly guardian appears... Perhaps that was the original concept for it and it was meant to take off to the sky but then was replaced by what we have now "which is better" but they kept the original cause it looks funny or as a joke

The ghast scream is more at 1:04 Also I can remember when spawning a skeleton in the Nether would turn it into a wither skeleton. Also .. I figured out about the elder guardian ghost a few days ago by messing around with the summon command

The ghost was probably for the guardian’s death. It would echo the effect of mining fatigue being placed. Maybe they intended for the effect to disappear when they died.

I think the unused ghast scream could have been used when you take them out of the nether, as you get an enchantment saying you are saving them and the unused scream is called 'affectionate'

1:20 this ghast sound is actually used in the game its the normal ghast scream its just that the game automatically changes pitch and length.

#1. The wolf howl was an unused feature where if you were to attack a wolf, a howl sound would play while the pack attacks you back. #12. The zombie horse was actually a spawnable egg (in creative) in the minecraft Xbox 360 edition. I remember spawning it a few times for mob zoo's I made.

The zombie horse I believe does still have a spawn egg in Java, and it can be spawned in with commands. It just won't naturally spawn yet, thus why its considered unimplemented

What I find funny is that some of these unused stuff is used in Minecraft Dungeons. The wolves howling can be heard in Creeper Woods and Creepy Crypt, Wither Skeletons Archers are in there, also don’t forget the Illusioner that’s been in Minecraft forever but never used- and it’s used in Minecraft Dungeons

The Wolf Howl was used for the Skeleton Wolf, a mob from Minecraft Earth, when they does it, every nearby undead mobs will gets a damage boost. Minecraft Earth has been shutdown.

I think they should add the giant. It should be a mob that either; 1. Splits into smaller zombies when hit. 2. Hits you far and super high, but you take NO FALL DAMAGE, that'd be sick. 3. Does alot of damage and I need to kill it with potions and tnt.

By statements, they're working on implementing it. In the past they mentioned making it an overworld miniboss, spawning at the end of an event like a raid or zombie siege (but before raids were a thing), and even made progress with one snapshot. But it was too powerful and they had difficulty properly balancing it, so they reverted the changes they had while they worked on it. Whether they still plan on that or not is hard to say

Toycat, you should look into the /event command, it's really cool and allows you to change the spawn events of mobs, which means you could force an adult trader llama into a baby one. Also there's a /ride that could get you some of those jockeys you mentioned.
