Just bought this camera! Was thrilled to realize I had the version with the 72mm and variable f stop. Excited to use it! Thanks for the intro

I have one of the fixed focus versions. I am excited to play with it since you can now get 620 film again. I have some ideas for rigging it up for filters and cable release to increase the flexibility.

I have the Dualflex III but it looks a little different and has three Apertures F8 F11 F16. I have an old expired roll of re-spooled 120 Tmax 100 in it. I will be shooting over the next few days and I hope to have images to post to my IG. I had to trim a plastic 120 roll for the take up. Kind of worried it may be a tight fit by the end of the roll but we will see. :)

You have the more sophisticated Duaflex. I was offline for quite a while so you've probably gotten results by now. How did it go?

I found my grandfather's Duoflex III in a box recently. He died in 1978. It's in pretty good condition considering he bought it in the 1950s and it's been sitting since. I think I have the camera figured out and how to modify the 120 film spool to fit. One question, how do I know how far to advance the film after I've taken a shot? Does it stop automatically like a TLR or do I have to check the red window for the next number? I'm looking forward to using it and seeing what I get. If it's still in working order I would love to shoot with it regularly. It's great to have something like this from my grandfather all these decades later.

I was wondering how you inserted the empty spool into the upper recess (take-up side)?

Hi, you pull out the winding knob while twisting clockwise. Then you can put the spool on the photographer's left side and push in the knob, also twisting clockwise. Mine was pretty stiff so the twisting is important when pulling it out and pushing it in. Remember, a 120 spool won't fit -- it has to be a narrower, slightly shorter 620 spool. I hope this helps.

Thank you, super helpful! Yes - I was afraid to pull too hard at the winding knob. I was able to put the spool in the take-up side.

What film ISO would you recommend for this camera?

Hi, The shutter is really slow so stick to ISO 100 if you can. Thanks for watching!

How much are they worth?

Not much. $20-50 US depending on condition, if it has the flash, a case, etc. Check eBay and then scroll down and check "Sold Listings" to see what they are going for.
