J Lynette - Amen! Diahann’s addition to Dynasty helped the show reach the top of the ratings. Her departure was another nail in the show’s coffin. She was stunningly beautiful, and as you said, the epitome of class.

They won't make anything close to this anymore because people don't know how to talk with this level of class and restraint. Dynasty was the best in its day. The spin off were almost as good. Colby's and Falcon Crest these spin offs were almost as good as Dynasty too.

@@mukunimulundika5359 forsythe wa sin his mid to late 60s so all they needed was an actor in his 80s. Also Blake was old enough to be Bens father not brother. Ages are ignored so bad on these shows. Look at Dallas Barbara Bel Geddes and Larry Hagman as mother and son when she was MAYBE 9 years older then him. Shouldnt be allowed to happen. FRasier and his TV dad were very close in age, and the list goes on. STUPID

DYNASTY really wasted Carroll's talents during her 3 season run. This scene clearly demonstrates DC's skill as a powerful dramatic actress yet Domonique's material rarely if ever lived up to those standards. Shame because Diahann was DYNASTY's best actress throughout its nine year run.

Alexis has employed the aforementioned terms as a reminder to Dominique of her show-business beginnings...As if Alexis' more classic form of acquiring wealth by conduit of marriage was--somehow--more socially acceptable. Not true. When the will was read, he made Dominique executor for reasons to reasons to never be known. I believe it was because he loved her mother. However, at the time it would have cost him everything.
