I saw the previous epi 5-13 where Alexis invited Dominique to lunch and said 'you like Blake' and Dominique started choking. I think part was Dominique's illness which surfaced later and the other part was just being startled by the suggestion...Dominique knows she is Blakes sister but I don't think Alexis did...that's why Alexis is so mad the money went to Dominique!

@@morganolfursson2560 Because Alexis was after Blake and his fathers money from the get go. It's very clear when watch her fights with Krystal. Alexis was chasing a lifestyle and Blake's father must have been aware of this on some level even if Blake wasn't at first. So in addition to being a recompense for the way he treated Dominique and her mother, he also secured that the money would stay in his family with his blood children, and not be weaseled out of them through blackmail by the likes people such as Alexis. Even if some of the money went to her children I'm sure she would find a way to get at it through them.

And she knew etiquette. Dominique really looks horrible in that scene (which is so bad because the actress is such a beauty) but she didn't know how to seat and the dress was ill fitted, the fact that she didn't wear a hat at the reading of a will is so wrong. The fact that she crosses her legs and swings the one on top is even worse. Alexis was the epitome of class in that scene, with the perfectly fitted dress, the hat, the gloves, the matching heels, the exquisite jewellery and her posture, ankles crossed, no swinging legs, hands on lap and elbows on chair, back straight, etc... People should understand that hats make you keep your posture because you can't rest your neck or head anywhere.

Mothers before daughters is what my grand father always said and he owned 3 castles .This meant that if his daughters in law gave birth to children they become more important to him than his own daughters without heirs . And trust me, as his grand son (me) and the son of his only son, my mother had far more power and importance to him than my father's own unwed sisters. When my grand father passed, the wealth and assets were divided very unequally. Of course his wife my grand mother got half of everything which she can choose to split as she pleases among her children or grand children in her will . Then my father and mother got most of the other half of the cake, but his own unmarried daughters and sons without heir, got crumbs. Even the one daughter who happened to have a kid from a prior marriage didn't get much for three reasons, because she was divorced, because she is a woman and because her child happened to be a girl, and granddad wanted things to remain in the family by name, through male bloodline. But it was specified in the will that none of his assets would ever go to me , unless i actually married and got children of my own. Fortunately i have 6 and am married. But the funny part is that i married another man and only one of the kids is my biological son, but that was enough to grant me as automatic and irrefutable heir of the assets. That's what happens with old wealth, and if you add titles and aristocratic ancestry then the opening of an envelop is THE most awkward and family breaking moment in every family's history. My aunts literally loathe me and will never agree to ever meet me or my kids and i haven't even inherited one penny yet, not that i am actually looking forward to get anything since this would mean that my father and mother died . But this is how these types of families function.
