This is so helpful! Thank you so much. I actually just graduated recently last July. Having trouble with applying jobs as a business analyst fresh grad. I'm kinda worried why many companies are not replying.

I'm glad you found it helpful :) I know exactly how you feel because I have gone through recruiting process and it was so stressful. Try to apply for other positions as well to get more experience and don't forget to leverage your existing network and ask your friends if their companies are hiring! I got my first job out of college because my friend told me that his company was hiring and referred me by forwarding the resume to the hiring managers.

I came across your page and I love it on everything business analyst related! you have a strong hand on your profession and id love to get into the field! I have an MBA concentrated in computer information systems and its very hard for me to find a business analyst position even though the job market is booming right now! is there more tips/ tricks or guidance you can help me land a job?

Such a great video, thank you! :) I'm a fashion design grad and it turned out not to be my dream career (it looks a bit different in reality than what they taught us during the course). I'm thinking about shifting my career path to some more analytical job that also would be more relevant in the market. Business analyst may sound a bit far from my degree but it sounds like a solution to my problem. I'd use my knowledge about the fashion industry and learn more about analysis and try to get into BA. Do you think it's a good idea?

I think it's a great idea. Maybe it will be hard for you to jump straight from fashion design into BA right away. However, you can actually apply for other project coordinator or other type of analyst jobs in fashion industry so that you can gain more skill sets and work your way into BA career. I just did a quick search on Google and found this article on top 7 technology trends reshaping fashion industry (techpacker.com/blog/design/top-7-fashion-technology-trends/). So I'm sure you can find companies in this space that you can look into!

Hey @Rich Millennial Mindset really appreciate your efforts to help the community with your knowledge and real life experiences about BA role. Not only this, you clear queries and doubts of each and every folk who is here, out of your busy schedule. Really a commendable job. Thanks a lot, it really means a lot to us who wants to pursue a career in BA, but lacks guidance. I also have one query, hope you might help me out, I am a QA, having experience of nearly 2 years, willing to shift to BA role, and that's what attracted me to your channel. So, had one doubt that, is doing any certification for BA like cbap, ecba etc are they really necessary for getting a good job, or a real experience or if not, knowledge about BA role will suffice me landing to my desired designation. Please let me know.

Hi Prachi! Thanks for the comment. It really means a lot :) It's not necessary to get certifications in order to become a business analyst. Your knowledge, skills, and willingness to learn and demonstration of past experience and projects are sufficient for you to transition into a BA role :)

what type of software tools and application will be useful for becoming a BA (with business side)

I think it depends on what type of BA you are. If you're systems analyst, the main software application that your company uses will be important (e.g. SAP, SuccessFactor, Salesforce) as well as JIRA, Visio/Lucid Chart, Excel, Tableau, and SQL database toolset like MySQL or Toad.

Hey! I have a question. Hw mch u were experienced when u applied for BA profile? Like your working experience before joining BA. N I easily got your point that you beautifully utilized the knowledge of previous job experience in interview. 👍

Do a Business development Executive post lead me towards a BA role? I m having offers for BDE bt bit confused whether to choose or not. I m more tend to business part. Well I m a b.tech holder with work experience as a sales Engineer and Hr operations Executive.

So I had 4 years of experience working in HR as well as in software implementation before becoming BA. I think it depends on the skill sets as defined on that BDE. If the company has BA positions, I think it’s great way for you to get your foot in the door before transitioning into another BA or systems role. It’s hard for me to say without looking at a job description. Do more research and look at the job description and think about whether or not these skill sets will help you get into BA roles!

@@RichMillennialMindset well those BDE are more for sales. Internal. That's y I m hesitating to go that side. I m trying to get BA job bt due to covid situation all things have gone slower.

Even if this role is for sales, if you're in the right industry, you can transition into BA role. Communication skills and being proactive and staying organized as well as building relationships are essentially skill sets that you need to become a successful BA. If you think that you'll learn these skill sets, then I think it will bring you one step closer to your actual goal of becoming a BA!

whats your education. does ms business analyst have more chance to get required job then finance managment graduates

rockzzz party hey! So I majored in Commerce but specialized in OBHR and MIS. I think if you have MIS background or knowledge, it will definitely help you to get a BA position in technology sector. So it depends on what kind of position you’re looking for!

rockzzz party I’ve seen people take accounting and MIS (management of Information Systems) together and actually there are lots of fintech companies if you have a strong financial and technology background. I would say if you can learn ERP system (SAP, Oracle etc), that can help you too!

As a sales professional. I see the need for this career in many companies. Which is why I am here watching this. I am wanting to pursue this so that I may be able to provide this foe future sales That being said what BA title would this be?
