Keep doing what you do, there are number of times that the info in your channel and books has helped me get through challenging moments. Much appreciated! Morning routine; I do my best not to check social media in the first hr of the day, I drink water first thing in the morning, pray/meditate, exercise and read something informative.

6 strategies for limitless focus: 1)Understand the monkey mind so that we can train it and retrain it 2)Declutter your immediate work space to organise the environment 3)Declutter your digital life by setting specific time for notifications for doing dopamine detox 4)use the pomodoro technique as mind can't focus intensely more than 25 minutes and after 25 minutes of intense focus take break to hydrate, walk. 5)Have more mindful moments by meditation, deep breathing, just observing environment without judgement a)Name 5 things that you see b)Name 4 things that you feel c) Name 3 things that you hear d)Name 2 things that you smell e)Name 1 thing that you taste this gets me into now-present moment 6)create a power hour - use pomodoro technique for intense focus for about 25 minutes to an hour And reflect on the below questions a)How much did you accomplish more b)How did you feel c)what barriers did you face and how you overcome, how you brought back your focus back immediately -by breathing consciously or by questioning yourself how can I best use of this time and the advantages of it.

The first try at focusing I had a sudden need to clear some plants on a post outdoors, the second try I lost a sharpener and had to find it, the third time I gave this my full attention and it was actually quite relaxing to just calmly listen & pause and reflect. Perfect tone of voice for this

I need these videos so badly. Thank you for posting this content. I was diagnosed with ADHD at age 4 and that was 24 years ago, so i have battled with focus and attention forever. When I can finally get to focusing, I can get so much done, but the energy required to redirect my focus or even focus is sometimes too exhausting i end up procrastinating until the last minute. And i really despise that cycle.

Oh my word Jim! The timing of your video was so apt! Love the cartoon additions too, makes your explanations come to life 😊 Decluttering, pomodoro technique, MMM: more mindful moments (even the alliteration is calming ❤) And the grounding techniques, so many great points in such a short clip, so grateful. Going to start with decluttering the work space and take it from there. Thank you for this guidance 😊

I struggle so much with focus. I am dyslexic and when it comes to studying and reading it is so hard. I struggle a lot with time management. I feel my life is going so fast and I haven't been able to accomplish any of my goals. I had used the pomodoro technique in the past, but I still struggle, because I can't work fast and the I get overwhelmed.

@@David-sw3on - So you know where to start: Clean up your room. (lol) Then go for a hike or long walk to relax your body (or learn to do yoga), in preparation for learning to meditate. Those things will calm your mind and help you center.

I didn't know that after 25 minutes of intense concentration your attention span drops, but I recognize now that it's been happening. So I'm going to retrain myself. 5 things I see (per request in the video): The decor on top of the piano that backs my desk. my backyard through the plate glass windows beyond, the artifacts on the walls of my living room, my water bottle on the right next to me. the financial file on the left of me that I "should" be working on. 4 things I feel: Curiosity about these videos and changes that will help me get healthier, subtle impatience to get going on my prepared plans for the day, a little guilt for not carrying them out already, worry that I won't get much done today (lol). Oh. Those are emotions, whereas you're asking about physical touch. Let's see: The waffle bathrobe hoodie around my neck, my elbows against the desk (hurting a little), the warmth of the slippers on my feet, a little stiffness in my neck. 3 things I hear: A distant airplane, my keyboard as I type, my creaking neck. (The house is pretty quiet.) 2 things I smell: The ginger-laced fried tofu I just burped up, the slightly stale air in here. 1 thing I taste: Remnants of the cacao chips I ate after the tofu. Doesn't this make you feel like you're right here? Guess what? Details like this are exactly what good writers recommend for getting readers absorbed in what they're reading.

I see a notification on my phone to the right of me about school board, I see a toy bin in front of me, also see two children behind that toy bin, I see socks on the floor, I see a tv to the left of me. I feel overwhelmed, I feel my bad posture, I feel my fingers typing the screen quickly, I feel sad I'm OK though
