These phrases are so common that you can encounter them in any movies, series you are watching (I'm saying that from my experience), especially the phrase "С чего ты это взял", thanks a lot for this very useful phrases!

@Fedor: I think a useful addition to these videos would be to dissect the grammar of these phrases so that they are easier to remember. For example, you could say that "Я бы с радостью" literally means "I would be with joy", and say that "радостью" comes from the word "радость" meaning "joy, gladness". Just a thought.

Thanks for your persistence and great content Fedor. I'm self teaching and finding it difficult to commit to something more official, I'm still working out why I want to learn Russian. The best I come up with is watching Russian movies and TV shows and to be conversational when I go back to Russia whenever the skies/borders open up again.

russian looks so much more than french than english, we say litterally the same exact words 'tout est en ordre'? and mostly the 'ça te va' to say 'it looks good on you' with french verb 'to go' just as in russian! thanks so much

В видео небольшая ошибка. На экране написано: "Кто бы мог подумать, что ты таким вырастИшь". Вырастить в прямом смысле употребляется вместе с растением. Вырастить помидору, например. Есть немного более переносное значение - вырастить животное или ребёнка. Это означает помочь ему стать взрослым, содержать и наставлять или учить его. Нас вырастили родители и школьные учителя. Это слово означает действия со стороны того, кто растит: садовода, хозяина животного или родителей. В контексте ролика же должно было использоваться слово "вырастЕшь", что означает увеличится в росте (стать выше) или повзрослеть (стать старше). Я так понимаю, автор просто ошибся в образовании формы будущего времени.
