Why is no one talking about the strain that can happen on a relationship after you become parents? The data shows that couples struggling to keep their relationship in tact after they become parents is extremely common. Here's the thing-if we know what to expect, we can prepare for it and get some tools in our toolbox to help us navigate the transition in a way that strengthens our relationship, rather than making it fall apart. After 4 years of marriage and 2 kids later, I'm sharing my 7 best tips that I wish I knew before my husband and I became mom and dad.

You can make a help book to prepare, protect relationships before giving birth or before deciding to get pregnant. Doesn't have to be about postpartum depression only. Much love 💗 💕 💛 💙 💕

About the 5 love languages, if you THINK you know you love language and Don't need to take it, TAKE IT. your needs change especially after having a kid, and just as your life changes at any time. My husband thought his love language was touch and so when we were dating and the first few months of marriage I made sure to touch him often and things like that, because it was also MY love language. But as i started seeing him and knowing him, turns out, he was just horny and in love and his REAL love language is acts of service. He loves if i do little things for him or big too, and feels appreciated that way.

Yeah because they call cps on you for expressing it , I have cps called while I was giving birth to my son because I expressed exhaustion and insecurities as a 1st time mom .. I pass the screening for depression and still got called on.

Maybe man/partner who does not deliver should be expected more and more to educate themselves into what women go through and need after delivery. I’m talking all about recovery needs, activities that can or not be done, eating needs, emotional needs, sexual needs or lack thereof, etc. Not to mention obviously needs regarding the baby. Everyone is born not knowing, and they should never be blamed for that, but for not making an effort to educate themselves. Your partner has a crucial role.
