My favourite is the tip about proper exposure then add contrast in post. Result is much cleaner than underexposing during night shots and bumping up exposure.

Really great video. You totally answered my questioned towards the end. Shooting in low light can be a bit tricky and one must learn to know the best ISO for such situations depending on the camera and light available.

Thank you for the video, I'm really struggling with lighting and proper camera settings. As a new filmmaker the thing I'm running into a lot is not adjusting my camera settings to the new environment. So frustrating lol, when you get home and realized you shot all day with the wrong settings =(

Great advice. Shooting in 4k at lower frame rates does really help in low light.

Great video! There is another reason why to shoot in 30 frames for low light situations which is the Bitrate, most cameras have the same bitrate in 30 and in 60 frames. This means that shooting at 30fps your frames will have more information stored rather than shooting in 60 which helps a lot in low light situations to keep as much as detail as you can.

great tip, bro. I just shot a documentary and I was extremely afraid of getting noisy images so I only set the ISO at 100, what made my shots look darker than it should. I didn't think that balancing should be the best idea. Thanks a lot. Keep it up with the good work! ;)

Just for future reference when comparing the shots with noise and the reduction of you can do a side by side comparison or even stretch out the first shot a bit longer that way you can really see the difference without having to rewind it a few times.
