Imo, he missed one. Not buying enough in relation to your networth. Buying ten 1 ounce coins when you're worth a couple million dollars is dumb. Grab a hundred 10 ounce bars or something if you're in that networth range. Don't worry about "using coins to buy things". If we ever end up in a barter economy, ammo will be a better every day currency. Can't protect yourself with a silver coin.

When silver went down to $8.50 last time I bought all I could. Which was a ton at that time. Then Obama came and hooked me up. Silver went over $30 and I sold about 80% at 28.50 I profited $20 per ounce and I only kept it a few years. That was the best I've ever done on any investment. Made almost 30g.

@Mike SKARONIS What? Ive been making money from silver for 30 fkn years and the system hasnt failed yet. Buy low, sell high. its That simple. Silver is manipulated. It has nothing to do with the system failing. case in point. We bought a shit ton of silver when the price was about $12 an ounce. Its just over $18 an ounce today. I could dump it all on ebay and get even the premium back for the shit I bought and certainly wont have to go a cent below spot regardless. Thats just the silver we bought over the course of a few months, not counting what Ive owned for years that was bought as low as $4 an ounce years ago. Sorry, but it doesnt take a collapse to make money on metals. You just have to have more than 3 working brain cells.

I knew I had to do something after the crash. Robert Kiyosaki and Mike Maloney were big influences ; ) Sound money will prevail along with the fact Silver is a biocide and also vital to modern infrastructure. The movie "Looper" that came out in 2011 I think is pretty telling too. Its a store of value more than anything. One day it will get you what you need. This kid gets it like I did a decade ago.

Yes at a young age it is better to spend that money on education or equipment that can make you money. It is really one of the last things that a person has accumulated both material and liquid assets should be investing in. Right now you're trying to crank up your earning ability as rapidly as possible. For instance: a better strategy might be to save that money in cash and buy a used car to flip or transport you to school or apprenticeship program. Silver is a long-term investment strategy and is just a place to diversify value against a destabilized dollar.

I'm with Vern Evens below. ETF's have a downside, especially when attempting to take possession of physical precious metals. Pay-for-storage is, in my estimation, another no-no. Many of us stack against a total financial collapse or other SHTF scenario. When the plop-plop hits the rotary ocillator, is there really someone out there who believes that the storage facilities are going to break their neck trying to get your PM's across the country to you? I have a feeling that these storage facilities will simply have a hey-day. "Whoopee, free stuff!" Silver can become extremely heavy and take up space, but get creative and find a place to store it. Heard on one channel that someone spray painted a 100ozT bar of silver and used it as a door stop. Love it.

It doesn't grow like a stock, and there is risk it can devalue but virtually NO risk it will be worthless. It will always have some value and always have potential to grow no matter what happens. It's also a quick investment to pull from if you need to, if you have physical possession of it. That to me makes it a security investment, but not necessarily a wealth building investment.

The only place that we found we could buy it was at the bank it was in a display case, the bank charged a $1 premium so that ounce cost $5.98 sounds cheap doesn't it but you have to remember minimum wage was $3 an hour. So here is a little trivia for you silver was $0.29 an ounce in 1931. Mexico mined 190 million Oz that's 6300 tons of silver in the year 2019. The top silver producing countries are USA, Peru, Mexico, Canada, Bolivia but Alaska outshines them all just food for thought. Keep stacking have a nice day. I think that something often overlooked by people is how to identify metal by its physical properties. It really doesn't matter what is stamped on the outside -- if you can't test your bullion, you'll end up getting duped like the banks that made all those collateralized loans to that fraudulent gold company in China. It really is not that difficult to do a few easy tests. Measure weight, density, flip it if it's a coin to listen to the ring, and then let a magnet slide over it. For silver, the density is 10.49 g/cm³; the density of copper is 8.96 g/cm³. Both silver and copper are highly diamagnetic, significantly more so than any other metals -- when you angle a silver bar or coin nearly perpendicular to the ground and slide a strong magnet down it, the magnet will fall slowly. The combination diamagnetism and density test will largely guarantee your coin or bar has the silver content expected. For gold, the density is 19.3 g/cm³; the density of tungsten is also 19.3 g/cm³. Tungsten, however, is paramagnetic while gold is mildly diamagnetic, so magnets will behave differently in the presence of tungsten. You'll have to do your own research on the densities of various forms of coin or crown gold and various purities of junk silver. I will be making a handful of cheat sheets with physical metal properties and common coin specifications for my own use in the future; I recommend everyone does the same.

Eventually that revenue will be worthless with fiat currency. Maybe not in our lifetime, but one day. The dollar is only worth the paper it’s printed on once this financial house of cards comes crashing down. It happens around the world quite often and it would be silly to think that we are immune. We are a financially bankrupt country just trying to stay afloat. There’s no coming back from -23 trillion dollars. Gold and silver is the way to go.

I finally in 1999- 2000 started setting up in our local coin show, believe it or not Gold was $ 325.00 an oz. I was lucky enough to see the light and the other dealers were struggling with Morgan culls, and had the largest display their, actually Australia had a 2 oz. coin now i only, silver wise only buy Carson City Morgan’s, and Pandas, go back and follow there growth compared to A.E.s or Maples they will surprise you, keep your nose going on the path you have already identified and you will do well in life!!!

Thank you for addressing people who pretty much go all in on silver. I feel they get addicted to the collecting side of stacking silver. My main investments at 33 are equities and crypto, which grossly outperform silver, but I like holding some silver to diversify into more of a risk off asset. I dont expect my silver holdings to build me to retirement lol

hi machine review Hi, I am a 14 year old who invests in silver. I started a couple of months ago and have accumulated a small stack so far. I started with mercury dimes which cost around $1.40 USD. They have a really cool design and a 90% silver content. You can invest in silver at any age and with almost any amount of money.

He charges a 97 cent premium on eagles? If that's true than he pays 50 cents or less under spot when buying off people otherwise he doesn't make money and will close the doors soon. If what you are saying is true he's a shop to buy from and not sell to. With those sell prices his buy back prices are going to be well under spot so I'd go look for a dealer to sell to because in the future when prices go up you will have a place to sell to at a premium you like.

Best way to buy silver in bulk is when one of the big name companies is having a sale or clearance of some sort. I got 1/10th ounce gold pandas at spot price and free shipping during a promotional a couple years ago. There are sales on silver all the time. Buy whatever is on sale closest to spot and usually you get a price break if you buy at least a roll of 20 of just about anything and use a wire transfer instead of paying the premium for a credit card.

Silver seems to be heavily manipulated and suppressed. I wish I would have sold my bullion coins several years ago when silver hit $50/oz. I've been sitting on 10 monster boxes and about 100 pounds of 90% junk silver. Sadly, If I sold today I might break even. I guess I'm in it for the long haul which might turn out to be a good thing. If society collapses then I guess food and ammo will be a priority.

Hello: I started buying sliver when I was seven years old. When I was younger I would buy weekly or monthly. I am from a farming/ranching family background. In 2008/2009 it helped me deal with a family member that died. There where lots of problems with there estate planning and also the crash of 2008. It was my sliver holdings that paid the bills. It is Monday February 1,2021, and so far in 2021 I have not purchased and sliver too many factors are effecting the spot price and the sliver market. Regards Hope
