I usually say "have soup". But it's good to know the differences between eat soup and drink soup. And there is also an interesting debate among the English-speaking people as well

Another opinion from my side : you are basically eating the soup with your spoon. Thus, it is referred to as eating rather than drinking soup 😊. Drinking means consuming directly from cups / mugs.

睇到 open meeting 嗰 part , 有一個香港人更加常見嘅番譯，就係open the TV, open the fan, open the air cond. Open,其實應該譯作打開，咁我哋係唔會無端端打開一部電器嘅，只會開著部電器 switch on / turn on an appliance

Thank you for a good lesson. The word “medicine” for the native speakers it’s a 2-syllable word (like med-cine), saying it as a 3-sylible word (med-di-cine) is not wrong but not common.

沒錯有固定用詞，丟三落四，沒有掉三落四。用口語講解時最好講我們口語通順的，例如低三下四、說三道四。

我覺得係中文將好多嘢都簡化左到要學英文先至發覺要準確表達需要好多詞語門我地一諗就係Door 實在仲有Gate 我估計到頂才能叫door 未到頂gate 好似月台閘門 auto platform gate同埋月台幕門 platform screen door 海底隧道habour crossing 過山隧道 Tunnel 地底隧道subway (美underpass) 乜鬼嘢液體都當係水 Thinner天拿水鋼水根本就唔係水仲有鯨魚唔係魚水星唔係water star 火星唔係fire star🫣 Take a course Attend a lesson表達不同意思但係中文只會講「返學」「上堂」咁樣去「法院」都叫上堂添 😂 Course. / （獨立一個課程/科目） program( me) （一抽課程組成） /syllabus （課程綱要）喺中文都係簡單譯做課程 Place of stud; degree都係譯做學位食煙食藥放落口都當係食但係兩者都唔係食物 Take 係一個接受嘅過程接受一個藥物同接受治療道理一樣就如Price taker 承受價格的人（即係話價錢佢無say 硬食）仲有食言唔係eat word 如果要舉例子，其實太多車唔會喺任何情況都叫做Car. 你對住架地鐵講car 人哋以為講緊幾多個截車廂鞋不一定是Shoes 中文一二三… 英也不會永遠是one two three 有 first sec . 代表次序 Jan feb Mond tue.. Single double triple qua (唔記得點串) Single directional 唔靚要 Unidirectional. 但unisex又解兩性皆可😂 有Double degree =dual degree 講嚟講去都係中國人包括香港人台灣人學英文唔認真得過且過差不多先生還是英文太難學？越係簡單越係容易理解錯誤但係咁多個字就會難學情況同簡體字同繁體字個道理一樣我寧願學嘅時候俾啲心機學多啲字到時就冇咁容易誤會因為簡體字實在太令人誤會持有人係bearer(但未必真係owner 可以偷得如支票）還是holder 如shareholders 法律上擁有又想到好多人用there has 唔識用there be 搞亂存在的有還是擁有

The meanings of both are similar, it’s just that when the collocation “wash clothes” is used, it usually refers to people washing their clothes by hand (instead of using a washing machine)

7:28 Apple likes to change the meanings of a couple of words. E.g. Apple uses ‘upgrade’ instead of ‘replace’, and use ‘sync’ to mean one-way sync when syncing music from mac to iphone, or (two-way) sync when syncing photos between a mac and an iphone. That’s American English.

orange flavoured soft drink. If you ever tried "Greenspot" soft drink it has no bubbles. Usual brand names like Sunkist or Fanta it is understood as "orange flavoured soft drink". Same if I say 7UP or Spirit you should known I want lemonade soft drink.

"Medicine" actually has 2 different pronunciation. Med-di-cine usually used for example "I am studying medicine in university". For pills/drugs meaning of medicine it often is pronounced without saying the "i" so it sounds like "med-san". For example the doctor may ask "did you take your med-san" is used in normal conversation.
