More great advice - you are on a roll! My best accessory is fragrance. I wear it every day whether I am going out or not, seeing other people or not. While I have never purchased a YSL lipstick or a Chanel mascara, I wear expensive, classic fragrances and have done since college and if money is tight, I stretch it out but always make it work. Nobody sees it and it doesn’t help my overall look but it levels up my whole attitude and makes me smile every single morning when I spritz it on.

I always wear a gold bangle, 1 cm wide, that my husband gave me for Christmas ages ago. Whether I’m wearing shorts and tee shirt or formally dressed, it makes me feel complete.

My favorite "wow" accessory is a hat. I have quite a collection of winter and summer toppers, plus fascinators and proper hats to wear to polo and steeplechase events. I also like understated jewelry, especially old-fashiony pieces, like a thin gold chain with a locket pendant, or a string of small pearls. One of my most loved pieces is a single dark purple pearl I shucked out of an oyster in Hawaii. I had it mounted on a simple platinum scrolled bail that hangs on the thinnest, shiniest platinum chain...pieces with a story to go with it are the most meaningful to me! I have not worn a watch in probably...20 years?

I've loved Tank watches since I was a teenager. I bought a Pulsar "tank" for my HS graduation; a Seiko "tank" when I returned from deployment. Now that I'm a Queenager (55) I bought the Cartier Stainless Steel Tank Americane. 😍

Great necklace. The ballet shoes are among the best I've seen. There may be occasions or situations in which hobo, slouchy bags will work, but generally a structured bag serves all purposes for any occasion. One's skin tone must determine the metals one can wear in jewelry without looking sallow or orange-y. Georg Jensen is a genius with beautiful works.

I have a beautiful snakeskin clutch my sister gave me years ago when she came back from a summer in Paris. All hand made, no trademark on the inside. She to,d me she knew the owners of the little shop. Beautiful brown and black tones. GORGEOUS 🤩🤩

Thanks for ur great ideas! Always luv ur videos! I always wear hats also. They elevate my mood. I think a nice blazer will elevate any outfit especially a good brand. I add good quality blazer over jeans and t-shirt and it can uplift outfit. Also high quality purse and leather shoes can make outfits look better. Thanks for ur inspiration! Two strands of pearl necklace and matching small pearl ear studs or ear hoops. The batteries in my wrist watches have died. Have not gotten new ones to replace them for the past five years. Time for me to make a trip to the watch repair shop. I recently got into Oxford Shoes with 2.5" heels. Those shoes go with everything I have so a matching belt and a handbag is a must for me to look nicely put together. I love your Sun Glasses. I own just one pair which corrects my stigmatism and is also polarized. Like you, I still prefer leather shoes, belts and handbags because they last for a long time.

Now as I’m edging very close to 40, I’ve spent the last couple years investing in key pieces that are a little more money but will last a long time including handbags and shoes. Another awesome video. I always look forward to the part when you say " click click click". It makes me happy each time. My favorite accessories are my favorite lipstick, and a necklace. Because of one of your previous videos where you talked about watches, I dug out my beautiful watches...all gifts from my husband, and have started wearing them again. They are too pretty not to wear, plus it is always aggravating to dig into my handbag to see what time it is. I had forgotten how gorgeous and classy watches are, until you reminded me. 100% agree with all these items! I would add perfume as an important accessory too. And I’m not sure if this is now viewed as “old fashioned” but I always match all my hardware (jewellery, belt buckles, shoe buckles and metals on handbag) so that they are all gold, or all silver, for example. I feel that it makes me look more polished and intentional to have them all the same and not mix metals.

Frédérique, tu me fais vraiment rire de bon cœur, merci beaucoup, tu es formidable !!! ❤ Je suis tombée par hasard sur tes charmantes vidéos, je n'ai pas fini de toutes les regarder. Il y a 2/3 ans j'ai décidé de laisser pousser mes cheveux gris, ils sont beaux mais mon visage étant déjà marqué par mes 49 ans, je trouve que cela vieillit davantage mes traits. Ce n'est pas comme si une ado se décolorait les cheveux, quoi qu'elle fasse, aucune illusion d'optique lui ferait prendre de l'âge. Je voulais avoir ta sincère opinion à ce sujet. J'étais très brune à la base, à peau blanche et yeux marrons. Aujourd'hui, je me sens décolorée, sans peps... mais mes cheveux gris sont quand même beaux... quel dilemme ! Une petite vidéo à ce sujet serait la super bienvenue pour toutes ces femmes qui comme moi ont voulu passer au naturel et qui finalement ont un certain doute sur le bien fondé de cette démarche. J'ajouterais que le regard des autres sur moi à changé, leur comportement également... Une certaine indifférence... Frédérique, comptes-tu nous faire une petite vidéo sur les "must have" de l'automne ?? Encore merci pour ton travail et ta sympathie naturelle, les australiens doivent t'adorer !!! Je t'embrasse 😘

Catherine, I too have decided to let my greys grow and show. It is a big decision to finally “expose your greys to the world”. But it is so liberating . I realised that I had to change a few things though, to make it work , and I have even been complimented on my transition. I make sure that my eyebrows are always well defined and I have them tinted regularly . I always wear blusher and some lipstick and I wear brighter coloured clothes. If I wear neutrals, I make sure that I wear a bright scarf or accessories.

I like hoop earrings with my hair pulled back. I have a Citizens watch that resembles an understated Rolex and I have accidentally washed twice! It has held up and can elevate casual look and does ok for dressy. Also, I have a long strand of fresh water pearls (what I can afford) that I tie in a knot and it falls below the bust, love it. Love your videos! Love being called "girls", lol.

One of my goals this autumn is to work on adding scarves to my outfits. I have already started and have gotten a few compliments already when I've worn them. I have a page on Pinterest where I save videos that shows me different ways to tie them - it's a great resources and I'm amazed at how many ways there are. I also think a beautiful pair of hoop earrings are a must to elevate any outfit. Gold or silver and of any shape but not too big or it looks cheap. They are a classic and will go with any outfit, they are always my go to.

Excellent video, I truly think accessories can totally elevate and change a look! Personally to elevate an outfit I would go with jewellery, gold, and a great pair of shoes and an excellent handbag. In leather of course, and I must admit I love designers like Prada, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, etc. I always wear one of my watches, good ones, Rolex, Baume & Mercier, Cartier; those too really elevate a look. Pearls obviously do the job as well.

I Love wearing Pearls and zirkonia since I am 12 years old, the same with Ballerinas, Flats and Budapester as Well AS leather bags. I like to wear medium sized hoop earrings, a watch of course. I like Movado or Skagen. I agree that the scarf should be silk, it drapes better and looks elegant. I don't like bracelets but sometimes I will weave one through my watch for extra sparkle.
