Yep. Love it. My dad got me one of them when I was 10. In less month later, did drift full speed and crash into curb and totaled it. Best memories I ever had but not for my dad 😂

Just picked it up yesterday and it's pretty nice. Just can't decide what engine I want. I've been debating a predator but also wanting a beefier 10 ish hp briggs or something. I feel like I'd have problems mounting a big heavy engine like that versus the predator. Much to ponder lol

Connor Waits I hear ya... Predator 212s can make more than 20hp with enough mods. Just throwing that out there. And with a Predator, you won't have mounting issues, and it'll be lighter than the larger engines.

Florida Vape You're right- it does add up quickly, but with the bare bones components it can be done for less than $400. Of course it won't be "race ready" for most karting classes, but it will be good enough to run in your yard.

I loved his video. It reminds me of my old racing go kart when I was a kid. I'm thinking of getting another one. I had a 5 horse Briggs bored 80 over. It blew the head off from all the compression. We fixed the issue by bolting a 1/2 inch plate over the head down to the frame. We ran alcohol and once clocked it at 80mph. This thing always had a 6" blue flame coming out of the 9" tail pipe. I could out run every ATV in town lol

Hey man thanks for your video i woke up on day about 7/8 months ago and thought how fun it would be to have a little motorized toy, first thing that came to mind was go kart, when i was younger my dad was very much against motorized toys so i looked on youtube for reviews of go karts and yours made me fall in love i decided i was going to buy one so i saved up 1k and found a really good one about a 10 hour round trip from my house for approximately 700$ after searching for 3 weeks and i must say it was the best decision i have made so far. I cant find ANY gokart frames like this in my area, ive looked on craigslist, in newspapers, there's no gokart shops around me idk where to get one, the only gokarts i have found are clunky and mostely for offroading but I would like a racing one like this. Type in "Race Kart" that will help and span out dont just look in your general area look into areas at least 2 hours from you. Mine took a good month of searching i payed $750 & i had to travel 5 1/2 hours round trip to pick it up

Looks like an old Phantom Banshee chassis. That was a good one. Phantom is still around today, making off-set oval chassis for karting. That's what I'm on!

this vid helped out on knowing what to buy since I already have a go kart. got it for a hundred, then my dad said he had a friend who would fix it for another hundred, we paid him, basically stealing, he didn't fix it, so now WE have to buy a new clutch since it burns up too quickly

WOW Hahaha 3.1 million views. John who knew you'd get THAT many views in 4 years....it is well done and shows true C&C DNA as compared to the new episodes....Ike's in it ....you have classy music ....cool shots. All the makings for a good current episode of Cars and Cameras. I think we watch this because we all feel like we relate to either you or Ike or know someone like you guys that we used to tool around on these sorts of rides....or messing with our cars when we got older... Im happy for you. You invented a TV show about go karts when there wasn't one and now its a very popular hit!!! You made it to Cable in 5 years!!!! well done sir. You did your homework every day as a kid you never give up! you are the successful type John! I look up to You!
